I was looking forward to experiencing the speakeasy ambiance and cocktail experience that Furtivo Speakeasy promises to provide. Nonetheless, these expectations were quickly met with profound dissatisfaction and disappointment when, barely commencing the experience, my partner and I were kept waiting, standing up while people rudely watched, on the entrance even when I had previously made a reservation for the time I arrived. I was puntual on my timing, one can only expect that the business respects this punctuality and acts accordingly, which Furtivo did not. And, if that weren’t bad enough, once seated, as I mentioned, after 15 minutes standing up, we were not greeted at our table, no water was offered, no drink order was taken, nothing happened for 30 minutes. By that point, and after efforts to get the waiters’ attention, I called another nearby speakeasy, which there are plenty of in the area, made a reservation there, stood up with my partner, and left. The ambiance is good, the noise is way too loud, and the seats and table are serviceable. If Furtivo is going to charge $15-$20 for a cocktail, a good service is the bare minimum, which they do not meet. I want to highlight that two individuals, within the sea of customers and that a business may have, is still a big number. Two individuals are two stories and lives that took time, preparation, and planning to have a particular experience that this place, Furtivo, simply did not comply with. It is a very competitive environment, the speakeasy business. Furtivo has to step up. As of now, I do not recommend this place.

This place was a nice surprise from the hustle and bustle of san juan. Located inside a Japanese tea shop, it had great vibes, nice bite size tapas. The waiter and bartender worked very diligently to serve all of us. Make a reservation for this place.

Tapas & Coktails pairing perfect. Alcapurrias, Bao Bums, Croquet, Arancini, Sliders its awesome. Nice place, nice vibra, excelence in service.

Tiffany was fantastic and she rocked some amazing glasses too! The atmosphere was really cool and the drinks were top notch! You should definitely try Furtivo out when you're in San Juan!
