The Gables Restaurant is pleased to announce that we are now open!

The Gables Restaurant in Newgate Street Village is the social hub within the local community, we are conveniently located for Cuffley, Potters Bar, Hertford and Cheshunt offering fine dining with a range of Mediterranean cuisine.
Whether you’re celebrating with friends and family or planning a romantic dinner for two our relaxed atmosphere is sure to provide the perfect setting. We also offer seated and buffet style party functions in our cocktail bar area or for larger parties in our restaurant area.

    Gables is without doubt my favourite restaurant. It's the perfect venue; classy, friendly, professional and the food is first class. I have been there a number of times, for large parties to small occasions. I can't wait to return soon.

    Our favourite Italian restaurant. Visited for a valentine lunch, and had the whole place to ourselves. Amazing all round as always. Crab starter, delicious. Chicken Milanese, delicious. Strawberry mousse, amazing - could have eaten several portions it was that good. Wife loved her lamb and soup. Service is exceptional, Theo is the perfect host. We will return, Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are coming up and The Gables is the perfect restaurant to celebrate.

    Overall a great dining experience with excellent food quality. We felt it was slightly overpriced however, we were not disappointed with the overall quality and ambiance at Gables. Staff very welcoming and the live music violinist was fantastic!

    Fantastic local restaurant to us, which we've come to for many years for both special occasion meals and just family meals when I want a night off cooking! Great service, Management and all the front of house staff are very friendly, attentive but never intrusive and the food quality has always been excellent. Highly recommend.

    As always the food was delicious and the soup was exceptional. The service was superb with just the right level of assistance. It’s a fabulous restaurant with superb, food and service. The ambience for Sunday lunch was brilliant and was very reasonably priced. Would have no reservation about recommending The Gables to anyone who loves good food and exemplary service.

    Lovely dining room and attentive service but menu changes were not shared with the waiters. Menu is somewhat limited but what we had was good.

    Saturday lunch. Lovely food. We started with mushrooms on toast followed by mussels and giant flame grilled prawns. Fantastic. Personally I think the food here is always very good. Proper old fashioned service. Great. BTW they have a pizza oven. Pizzas are as good as anywhere and shortly they are starting deliveries.
