My wife and I grabbed dinner at Gannon’s on a Sunday night. The ambience was perfect. A piano and bass duet played throughout dinner adding to the nice atmosphere. We started with the raw oysters. The oysters were wonderful and among the best we’ve had. My main course was the prime rib and my wife had the swordfish and shrimp special. Both were delicious. We also had the mushrooms and creamed spinach sides. The sides were generous and equally well made. For dessert, our waiter recommended the fried pecan pie a la mode. We shared the dessert and agreed with the waiter’s choice. Overall, we highly recommend Gannon’s.

Food was amazing, drinks as well! Ambience totally unexpected when you walk through the door! Staff and co-owner graciously chatted during the evening, creating a memorable experience!

Gannons was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was so romantic, our waitress was one of the best we have ever had, and the food was phenomenal! It was New Years Eve and a band was also playing which made our experience that much greater!

It was a wonderful evening until the server got snippy because we questioned the extra charges for us splitting a meal and a salad (which was offered). Not so much it was overly costly in the grand scheme of a $600 bill, just weren't told there was going to be a charge for it. I didn't appreciate the attitude she got when we brought it up. 😒 They did make a very nice gesture with a piano playing happy birthday and put a candle in his desert. Food was good and it was a nice birthday on new years eve for him.

We had a wonderful experience at Gannons on NYE in Music City. Don't be fooled by the Marriott Courtyard embrace, this is a stand-alone restaurant and not a built-in. The ambiance is old school steak and mahogany, you will want a martini here. I opted for the filet with a side of fresh scallops. Outstanding all the way, the steak was perfectly tender and flavorful. The scallops were indeed fresh and the light creme sauce was refreshingly good. We splurged for the Orin Swift Red from Napa, a bit pricey but well worth it. The service was above and beyond, just enough information to keep us moving (a four-top) but not hovering. Highly recommend and will return.

A fabulous experience. One of the best prime ribs I have ever tasted. Service was great and atmosphere was a classic. The music capped the entire experience. With this being owned by the former exec chef of the Rainbow room it is no wonder it is such a high quality experience. A definite must if you are visiting Nashville. A requirement if you are a Nashville resident!
