We are proud to share our journey which is Garbatella Osteria Bar. As the first US-based concept from husband-wife duo Saul Plata and his wife Carelma Rodriguez, as well as his partner Antonio and Diana, Garbatella Osteria in Otay Ranch, is the coming together of cultures, of travels, and of a lifetime of experiences. Live music was not was advertised, didn't have my wife's cocktail choice, bread is not free, ordered pasta choice weren't offered cheese, pepper flakes no salt and pepper on table, hovered over me while I payed on her handheld machine, other than ALL that it was just average, I reckon we won't be back

My wife loves risotto and it is difficult to find a great restaurant that serves it but this restaurant has many choices on how to eat it. Phenomenal service and attention, great recommendations from the waiter as well. Always impressed with the food here!

What a great restaurant and a wonderful surprise! We went to see our friend Roman Palacios, who is an incredible performer, singer and all around lovely man! From the time we came in the door, the staff was friendly, attentive, professional, and did all they could to make sure that we had a comfortable table close to the live entertainment. The food was delicious and the service was very prompt. I highly recommend it.

We dined for our mother’s birthday celebration. The short rib was very tender and good. The server kept trying to take the plates away even though we told him many times that we were still working on them and we felt rushed.

They could not find my reservation initially. Then they forgot to send out our appetizers. Lastly, they charged us for a glass of wine we did not order.

Really disappointed with our experience. Went as a family of five for a special occasion. The food was substandard. We actually sent some food back. Bill was $200 for essentially pizza and ok pasta.

Love the vibe, love the decore of the place. Food was reasonable price, small portions but tasty.Service was lacking attention. Waiter might’ve been just too busy.

I recently dined at Garbatella with a group of 10 guests, and unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. From the start, our waitress was inattentive and slow. We had to ask for basic items, like waters, and dessert, 3-4 times before anything was brought to the table. Each time, it seemed like she had completely forgotten about us, and the wait times were ridiculously long. They were not busy. We had gone for lunch at 1:30pm they open at 1pm. To make matters worse, the billing process was incredibly confusing. The waitress automatically added a service charge and tip for each of the 10 guests, which felt excessive and dishonest. Normally, you'd expect one service charge for the entire group, but charging each guest individually made it feel like we were being taken advantage of. It seemed very unprofessional and left a bad taste at the end of the meal. Overall, between the slow service, multiple requests for basic items, and the strange, over-the-top billing, our experience was far from enjoyable. I wouldn't recommend dining here unless management seriously improves their service and addresses the weird billing practices.

This was my second time dining here. The first time was such an awesome experience and the food was amazing but this second time wasn’t the best. We waited so long for anyone to take our order and the waitress hardly checked in until we talked to her about our having to wait so long to put in requests for more food and drink. She was more attentive towards the end but wasn’t the best experience
