Around the world, people gather with food for celebration, ceremony, and connection. Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar, located in The Leaf at Assiniboine Park, explores food from across cultures, incorporating fresh, locally-sourced, and seasonal ingredients from our gardens. Craveable dishes incorporate traditional flavours and techniques from around the world, inspired by the nature that surrounds us all. Pickled, preserved, fermented or straight off the vine, local ingredients are creatively prepared to highlight the amazing growers and farmers in Manitoba. Inventive, botanical cocktails made with herbs grown in-house, seasonal fruits, and house-made syrups will delight the senses.

We’re made to wait for a table reservation as we arrived a little early however, when we were brought to our table the restaurant was empty. We didn’t like the table where we were put and the hostess refused to put us at another same size table preferred. Not a good first impression

Very disappointed in the food. The shrimp rice bowl lacked flavour. The smoked pork belly was very saucy and completely buried the egg. The Cranberry Sour mocktail was very good. I would expect much better for the price.

While my meal was good, I felt there wasn't any variety. No rolls, sides, just a plate of pasta. The menu is designed for sharing, but my friend is gluten free with nut allergies, so it was hard to find something we could share that we both liked. I also have an aversion to loud restaurants. We were originally seated in front of the kitchen and it was so loud I couldn't hear the waiter speak. We asked to move. Given that I had made the reservation weeks earlier when there were many times available and unreserved, I thought we would should have been initially given a better table. Our new table was better, but the ambient noise and music was still unpleasantly loud. Aesthetically, I love the high and open ceiling look, but it's a nightmare for ambient noise.

It's always a great experience. The menu changes with the seasons and it encourages you to try new things. It's such a great concept.

It is always such a wonderful experience to spend time at Gather! The food is exquisite and the atmosphere is calm and casual. We absolutely loved the carrots and the squash gnocchi!

Great service, delicious food, many options I will go back to try. Housemade chicken fennel sausage linguine with spinach cram sauce was filling and flavourful.

Service and ambience were great. Our server was lovely. The food looked very appetizing but the taste was just underwhelming. We still had a great time though.
