Oxford’s iconic glasshouse and stunning terrace remains loyal to its traditions of providing quality food & service in the most beautiful restaurant in Oxford.

Free parking for two hours is available just a short walk away on Canterbury Road and Bevington Road.

Our kitchen features a wood fired oven & charcoal grill, ingredients are simply prepared and expertly cooked. Open every day from 09.00am until 10.30pm serving our all day menu, on Sunday we also offer a roast. Please feel welcome to just drop by for a glass or two in our new secret garden.

Expect a warm welcome and great food served by knowledgeable & friendly waiters.

    Menù abbastanza vario. Ottimo il carpaccio di spigola, il polpo ed il risotto al granchio. Discreti i dolci. Piuttosto elevato il costo dei vini, ma nel complesso giudizio più che positivo. Splendido l'ambiente

    Nothing left on the menu , wrong food bought to us , we went for brunch and to run out of avocado seems odd !

    Lovely meal to celebrate a big birthday. All excellent delicious food, service was attentive but not intrusive, beautiful setting. Team brought an additional birthday dessert with a candle, unprompted by us, for the birthday boy.

    Lovely evening - a shockingly cold night but cosy inside the restaurant. We enjoyed cocktails, starter and main. Everything was delicious and lots of choice. Great ambience and the staff were great.

    A friend and I went to Gees for the first time. While we liked the ambiance, the noise level made it almost impossible to conduct a conversation. In large part, this has to do with the nature of the space - nothing to absorb sound - and tables shoved too close together exacerbate the problem. The food is good, but I did not think it was worth what we paid. My friend reported that her monkfish was "fine" (i.e., not excellent), which was the case with my cassoulet. Fine but not great: the pork belly was a bit overcooked and dry, and the dish definitely required more seasoning. It was overly bland. We did enjoy very much the fried zucchini as a shared appetizer, and the wine selection is quite nice. On the positive side, service is excellent, and food comes out of the kitchen piping hot and nicely presented. I do, however, think the cooking could be better, especially given the London prices.

    Our meal to celebrate a significant birthday was enjoyed by all. The service was very good, food was delicious. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion or just a meal out with friends

    Delicious food and relaxed ambience. Very much enjoyed the fresh oysters to start and black spaghetti for main, with partner enjoying the ribeye steak. Lemon soufflé also highly recommended. Will definitely be back soon to sample the rest of the menu!
