Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.
Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.
Our dress code is Business Casual- you never know who you might see at G & G!
Gene & Georgetti can accommodate your party of up to 100. .
Our restaurant has two floors ,and there is no elevator ,please let us know if you require special accommodation.

    We had an amazing dinner at Gene & Georgetti’s while visiting Chicago! The atmosphere was classic and welcoming, and the service was excellent. Our waiter recommended the NY strip, and it was cooked to perfection—exactly to our liking. We also tried the legendary Garbage Salad, which lived up to its reputation. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared. We’ll definitely consider returning for another great steak the next time we’re in town!

    First time eating at Gene and Georgetti’s. Have lived in the suburbs for 28 years and have always meant to try it. Four of us celebrating husband’s 60th birthday. The wine list was very good, the food was outstanding. It is an old school Italian steakhouse and it did not disappoint. Our server was Fernando and he and another gentleman attended to our every need. We will return. Thank you for the excellent service!

    Our waiter Juan was great make sure to save room for dessert! They were fabulous! The calamari was also delish! Great atmosphere and fair pricing!

    We grabbed a last minute rese for Saturday night and walked over for dinner. Everyone is always so nice and welcoming. We were seated upstairs and our waiter was great. Very personable and attentive. We started with dirty martinis and they were arguably the best we’ve ever had outside of the ones we make at home. We ordered the sausage & peppers for our starter (amazing) & then we had the chicken parm and Caesar salad with salmon. All amazing and portions were plentiful!! Can’t go wrong here! Will definitely be back.
