   Food is good and service is excellent. However it’s quite pricy, and 250$ for two later I was still hungry at the end of the meal. Not great value.

   Sat at the bar and had excellent service! The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about food and wine pairings and just lovely overall. The food was delicious! We had oysters, New York strip with mushy peas and chips. Delicious dinner paired with wines and cocktails.

   absolutely spectacular!!!!! it was an amazing culinary cuisine and ambience was magical. it was a very memorable experience! Exceptional

   Awful experience. I have been to the owners restaurants in the past and typically she excels. The service was awful and the food was just not great. The bluefin was fishy and the endive salad had no taste and more bitter than expected. The black cod had literally no taste and the fries had more salt that I have ever tasted. I know it is a risk for a new restaurant but if you were only going for drinks and ambience you would probably be happy. This place will not last more than two years. I am usually good at calling this. Sorry.

   My husband and I had a fabulous night at General Public. The food, service, ambiance and cocktails were all excellent. Because we were celebrating, we had the caviar bump with champagne to start and then as appetizers two different kinds of crudo, both were perfect. I had the black cod which was delicate and delicious, and my husband had the pork chop, which was also perfectly prepared. The English chips and mushy peas are great sides. Our server was very attentive, super friendly and professional.

   One of my new favourite restaurants in Toronto - been multiple times and have not been disappointed with any of the dishes

    Went for an early diner for 3 on a Sunday. First time at GP but have been to other Jen Agg restos. Very well done, gorgeous warm interior. Greeted at the door and promptly shown to our cushy & comfy half moon table on the first floor. Caitlin was an excellent server; attentive, friendly and had lots of knowledge on the menu giving advice on what to pair together. Oysters and bread basket were delicious. Tartar was great for sharing, loved the textures. Cod rosti was great, pork chop was very high quality and well cooked/seasoned. Lemon posset was a creamy delight, not too tart and not too sweet. Overall excellent dishes, every single one. My dining companions both had the Sunday roast and enjoyed it. Service was excellent and gracious, every staff interaction was great. Bathrooms, as expected, were so pretty and comfortable. Cute guinea pig mascot everywhere is an adorable touch. Will be back!!
