The food and service were excellent. We had pork tenderloin and filet mignon, both prepared perfectly.

We reserved the enclosed patio and were told upon arriving that OpenTable had bumped us to the horrid downstairs terrace/bar. I ordered the whipped brie as an appetizer. It arrived watery, cold, and unappetizing. My dinner mate ordered the scallop special. It arrived cold and had to be sent back. The main dining room were we sat was noisy. That is why we preferred the enclosed patio. Not worth the $250 we paid for dinner.

We love the General Warren for not only its exceptional food but the ambiance of the building history. In the winter we always request a table by one of the dining room fireplaces. It’s such a romantic evening.

Lovely Valentines dinner of Beef Wellington and Branzino.. Wonderful snapper turtle soup as starter. Beautiful and cozy setting, waitstaff very attentive and professional.

General Warren never disappoints - best attribute is its delivery of our concept of a fine dining experience - excellent food, competently served in a quiet and organized dining room. It is our special occasion place and going there for 60th anniversary did not disappoint.

The GENERAL WARREN INN. was selected by us (2 couples -4 of us) for the birthday celebration of 2 of us ( the 2 males - 2/10 and 2/11 birthdays). We have been there several times before and the beautiful room , food and service never disappoints. The beef Wellington is always super and the snapper soup is delicious. The bronzino was excellent as usual. The creme brulee was super as always. The drinks were well prepared and most enjoyable as well. overall an outstanding dinner experience. We will likely return for our birthdays next year as well and most likely well before then as well. KUDOS!
