My wife and I like to go to the General Warren at Christmas time. The ambiance and decorations of this historical inn fits the season. The waiters uniforms are monogrammed and we feel like we step back in time. The food is good but not great. They could update the menu more.

A beautifully-decorated rustic venue, classy and upscale. From the moment we walked in, I felt important. Great service from a very personable waitress, in spite of a very busy night. Comfortable chairs with side arms. Food was top notch. Lovely fireplace that we sat near. The dessert that my daughter ordered was decorated for my daughter's birthday in a lovely way - well done.

As always, the General Warren was wonderful. Many good dishes s. This week, tried the chicken schnitzel- delicious! Two other guests tried the bronzino and raved about it. The mushroom soup is always a winner. Was a bit noisy this week but to be expected as it is holiday time. Typically very comfortable from perspective of background noise. Great local fine dining establishment.

Overall the food was very good, but slow to get to us. The rolls were unremarkable- like from a supermarket. Coulda skipped them. Also the wine list was kinda spare for this caliber restaurant. We would have liked more choices. On the plus side the person who delivered the salads offered fresh ground pepper, which was a thoughtful touch that a lot of restaurants have done away with. Our biggest issue was with the slowness that the meal was served. There was way too long between the salads and entrees. I guess that’s why they give you the crappy bread. We’ll go back, but not near the holidays. We’re hoping our experience was just because they were short staffed in the dining room.

Beautiful especially at Christmastime. Food was wonderful! Our waiter Tom was excellent. Highly recommend General Warren for your special occasion or just a great evening.

The ambiance was excellent, decorated beautifully decorated for the Holidays. The menu selections were very accommodating and our server was very pleasant. I highly suggestion a visit to the General Warren Inn.
