We are thrilled to announce the geodesic domes at Hackneys on Harms are open and ready for your perfect holiday gathering. There is a $10 fee to dine in the domes outside. No reservations for indoor seating.

Hackney's is a classic American restaurant that serves authentic American food like burgers and fries, and has been a popular spot in Chicago since the Prohibition Era. Of all the amazing dishes here, one of the most popular is the Hackney Burger. This is a half-pound grilled burger served on two slices of rye bread, and is one of the reasons Hackney's has become so famous. Another delicious dish that stands out from the crowd includes Hackney's Original French Fried Onions. The french fried onions have placed in the top three onions rings in the country consistently, despite not even being rings! If you want to experience authentic classic American cuisine at a restaurant that's been serving America for 76 years, Hackney's is the place to go.

                                                                  Excellent experience would go again anytime. Service was fantastic even though we were in a dome outside and it was 20 degrees! Dome was slightly cool for a cotton shirt , but they provided blankets so no worries. Friends in sweaters were fine. Loved it!

                                                                  We love Hackney's and have been eating there for decades. We were disappointed to learn that they are changing their menu. We love their bison burger (low fat/tastes same as beef). The waitress informed us that they have discontinued the bison burger and will no longer offer it. Bummer. Our meals were still very good.

                                                                  Always a fun experience to dine in the geodesic domes. Warm and cozy. Decorated so cute for the holidays. Just wish we could fit in a few more family members as the limit is 6 people. Still a lot of fun and very festive! The food at this Hackney's is always great, far superior to Lake Ave. This was our second visit of the season and we will be back. So grateful that we can make a reservation for these domes.

                                                                  We wwnt to Hackneys to sit in the domes. Party of six. The domes were just enchanting. They are outfitted with blankets and pillows and 2 heaters. It was still cold in our dome but not too bad. Cozy and nice to have privacy. Servers were excellent and attentive. It was 14 degrees out. They delivered the food hot and managed to slip the drinks thru the zip thru windows without a spill. Food was good . Hackneys us pub food so not expecting gourmet. I highly recommend the dome dining.

The domes have heaters, so it’s definitely not the experience we are aiming to provide. We’ll definitely look into it to make sure everything’s working as it should.                                                                   i am questioning the ten dollar cover fee for the bubbles. since last year it was $5.00.With a large group it's doable. but a smaller group i would probably go to Harms on Lake.. i have been going to the Domes since the beginning and over time they have gotten more elaborate and i can see that it tales upkeep , heaters,blankets and maintenance. I think restaurants who use the domes have to realize it takes a certain customer to want to eat outside with heaters.and it's a bonus for Harms Hackneys as that has opened up a whole extra seating almost a whole another restaurant in the winter months. I hope going forward that you do not keep increasing the dome"cover" charges as the present $10.00 is about at my limit..and then would switch either to Hackneys on Lake or eat inside. ..Also i did not see this charge listed on OPEN TABLE when i made the reservation .perhaps it was there but again, i did not see it and was expecting the $5.00 charge from last year..thanks.tj

The increase in price is due to the added costs for upkeep, heaters, and blankets, but we definitely want to keep it reasonable for all of our guests.                                                                   Enjoyed family birthday luncheon under the geodesic dome. Very comfortable environment. Waitress was pleasant. Food was excellent for all family members. No complaints.
