The George Inn is located in the hamlet of Finchdean in Hampshire, a charming countryside location popular with locals, walkers and cyclists. It is a traditional real ale pub that dates back to the 18th Century, now offering a carefully curated menu including pub favourites, a well-stocked bar and inviting decor. Our friendly team offer a warm and welcoming environment and on visiting you are likely to find a steady stream of local clientele and a dog or two stretched out in front of the open fire.

    What can we say. Our friends came down from Leicester on a visit and we booked The George Inn. We were all bowled over by the whole experience. The service was impeccable, the food was outstanding, apart from one of the best meals we’ve had out for a long long time, it was piping hot from the first mouthful to the last, our compliments to the chef, and the ambience fantastic. Luke, our waiter was absolutely amazing. Nothing was too much trouble and he was so pleasant. Thank you.

    Welcoming, warm environment in the bar area with an open fire. Food was great and service friendly & helpful.

    Gorgeous pub. Really welcoming and friendly. Love a Sunday roast , expensive but same everywhere. Lunch menu in the week not so good. Could do with some tasty salads ? Staff are great and really helpful.
