                                              Ordered the short ribs which were dry and burnt. Destroyed my enjoyment of the meal as we had other entrées. A quick apology from the waiter but from the hour and ten minutes between courses had a hard time saying yes to dessert. Unfortunately this won’t correct the dining experience and well as the chefs pride of what he/she puts out.

                                              I think this place is solid for piano music and cocktails, but the food is just not good. It’s not worth the menu prices. Our $26 charcuterie board was the saddest thing I think I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure how they get away with that. It was so sparse. My steak dinner had cold mashed potatoes that were not good, my filet mignon wasn’t well seasoned, and the asparagus were over cooked. The dining room was not busy, so there was no good reason for poor food quality. There just isn’t a talented chef working the kitchen.

                                              Walking in the piano player and singer was way too loud. We were seated in the back of the restaurant which helped. Also the restaurant was very cold and we asked the waiter to turn up the heat and we were told it’s an old building. Once we received our dinner, my husband ordered a filet with scallops, he was served a filet with shrimp. His dinner was also to have a blue cheese sauce on the steak, it was missing also. For the price we paid, the meal was not worth the food we had.

                                              Reservation was at 5pm for two adults and spent a total of over two hours from time of order to completion. Figured going right at opening would be busy. We ate our food fairly fast and when we had dessert, waiter informed us there was a reservation at 7:30 which gave us 15 minutes to eat which is enough time but it wasn’t like we wanted to sit there for two plus hours. Received our bill at 7:26pm. Maybe a bad day for kitchen staff? I can understand the comment of trying to get next guests seated if we took our time but we ordered appetizer, food, dessert within a matter of 10-15 min of each other. I just do not like to be rushed especially when you are paying a $200+ bill. If staff is stem of issue, fix it.

                                              Good food, nice retro 1920’s ambiance, but a little over priced. The whiskey menu didn’t have the price of the drinks until we got the bill, and found out they were way too much than we thought.

                                              Our Waitress was so slow, we would of ordered more drinks but took ages to come to us. You think if you see your table drinking all there water maybe that they were thirsty lol . In a 2 hour period we were only able to order 4 drinks in total for 2 people.

                                              Came on Valentine's Day and would never recommend this place again. How they had a pre-set menu and still took 2hrs!? Food came out dry, even though it's all made-to-order. Not to mention it took my husband 30mins to find parking since there is no valet. This is supposed to be fine dining? Management had nothing but excuses saying, "it's all fresh", but my $60 short rib was still dry. The FIRST manger offered us comp drinks, but by then we already order 4 drinks and wanted our food. The SECOND manager told us we could leave and comp the bill. I left that dry a** short rib on the table, tipped the server (she was really great), and left. I even showed our waitress what the short rib supposed to look like, since I ordered it a few months prior to Valentines. Just horrible mismanagement. I heard someone walked out the kitchen that night too. Our bill would've easily been $150, but what a disappointment.

                                              We stumbled across this place while planning a getaway trip to Norfolk and so glad we did. We made a reservation but opted to sit at the bar and it was such a fun experience. The bartender was personable and funny and the music was perfect. Not so loud that we couldn't enjoy conversation. The food was yummy and arrived quickly. Can't wait to return!
