In 1959, Frank and Tina D'Ambrosio decided to start a new restaurant venture along with their "Paisans" Mario and Enza Volpe, after Frank had much success with his first restaurant, the original "Frankie, Johnnie, and Luigi Too! In Mountain View, CA. Named after a good friend of theirs, they opened the original "Giorgio's" in the Foxworthy Shopping Center in San Jose, CA. One year later, cousins Anthony and Louise Dambruoso, affectionately known to the family as "Sash and Lou", took control of the restaurant and ran it for the next eight years. Pictures and paintings of these folks still grace the walls of the establishment today. In 1968, Frank's four sons assumed control of the restaurant and still own and operate it to this day. In 1997 they opened a second location in Milpitas, CA, where they still offer the highest standard of quality food, service, and value to their customers. Bon Appetit!!

                    Tables around us turned three times by the time we finished. Service was much slower this trip than usual. 1:45 total. Not sure why.

                    Overall, the food was good, proportions generous. The restaurant has a down-to-earth vibe. It’s very noisy. The wait staff took a long time to come to our table to take drink orders or dinner orders. They never stopped by to check on things, to see how we liked our orders or to see if we needed anything. Even though we saw a lot of staff bustling around, they appeared to be short staffed.

                    Hasn’t been here in years. Went for the cioppino for my sons. They loved it- said the crab in the cioppino was excellent and the entire dish was piping hot and delicious. I had the gluten free pasta with tomato sauce and shrimp- it was also fresh, piping hot, and so much better than I remembered as far as the tastiness of their red sauce. The interior of the restaurant has been revamped from several years ago- it feels clean and welcoming. They also serve an incredible martini! I’ll be back soon!

                    Ok nothing special. 5+ years ago the food was memorable. Not sure what happened but it’s been average at best. My friends and I go back each year because it’s a tradition of ours but it’s not what it used to be

                    Our server was new and very poorly trained. we waited 10 minutes for him to show up and take our order. We ordered a salad and told him that we wanted it before our meals and he acted like he didn't understand what we were saying. We waited over 10 minutes for the salad to arrive and he brought thew wrong salad, we waited over 5 minutes for him to bring the correct one to the table. He then asked if we were ready for the entrees, we had already told him not to bring the entrees until thee salad was finished. He brought the entrees before we were finished with the salad anyway, he must have ordered the entrees when he ordered the salad. We eat here at least once a month and had never had service this poor, very disappointing.

                    Wonderful service and seated us at reservation time with no wait! Food was liked by all at our table with plenty of leftovers. Our special place for holiday gatherings and special celebrations.
