Since 1976 Giovanni's continues to serve Cleveland outstanding Italian cuisine & a unique dining experience. Giovanni's has been awarded the Di Rona, AAA & Wine Spectator Award, Cleveland Magazine "Silver Spoon" Award (Best Italian Restaurant & Best Italian Restaurant in Northern Ohio) several times over the years. The wine cellar, classified as one of the country's finest with over 800 selections, earned Wine Spectator's Grand Award.
Giovanni's recent renovation brings the atmosphere more in tune to today's feelings. The Picasso Room with wood paneling, distinctive artwork, fireplace & elegant French doors, seating up to 30, is ideal for corporate & social functions.
The imaginative cuisine offers surprising variations of classic recipes including handmade pastas, seafood, veal, lamb, beef & game. Elegance & first class service are an experience not to be missed.                                                                                                 We had a reservation at 8:30 and were not seated until after 9:00. Another group of four that arrived after us were mistakenly seated before us. There was a lot of chaos at the front desk. When we booked on OpenTable, we should have been told that there was a special menu for New Year’s Eve. The prices were double what they usually are, which is fine if you are told that beforehand. The food was very good as was the service by our waiter.

                                                                                                Unfortunately the restaurant seemed over crowded. For a 8pm reservation we had to wait close to 30 minutes for a table. The wait staff was good, but seemed stretched thin for all the business, which made the experience below expectations. The food was good. The overall experience left us to wonder if we would want to return.

                                                                                                Prices for New Year’s Eve were ridiculous. Doubled cost and little to none extra value for raising them. Great service though. Love the restaurant which is why we went there. Didn’t like the feeling of getting no value for the raises in pricing. You can’t just jack up the pricing just because it’s New Year’s Eve and then provide no extra value. Bad look.

                                                                                                I made a reservation on open table for two on New Year’s Eve. When we got there there was a ”special” New Year’s Eve menu, where the prices were almost double the normal. Giovanni’s is expensive to begin with, and I thought it would be a special treat for my husband and me. The prix fixe menu started at $165 per person with supplements for steak, crab, etc. We stayed, we enjoyed our meal, but we were very disappointed with the bait and switch. The menu they have posted online was nothing like what we found at the restaurant.

                                                                                                There's a reason Gionvanni's has been in business for 48 years. We had an early reservation for dinner on New Year's Eve. The chef prepared an impeccable menu that delivered quality dishes with amazing flavor. The penne with shrimp had a sauce that you wanted to bathe in. Creamy and flavorful. The halibut was perfectly cooked with asparagus, mushrooms, and potatoes in a light, lemon butter sauce as delicious as the pasta sauce. Michael, our server, was attentive and offered recommendations and explanations of their delectable menu items. Yes, it's higher priced, but at Giovanni's, you definitely get what you pay for and it's worth it.

                                                                                                This is our go to restaurant to celebrate any special occasion’s. The service is fabulous and the food is fabulous. We have been going for years. The Dover Sole and Veal Parm are family favorites.
