Chef Stephanie Izard and her team are thrilled to have joined LA’s vibrant restaurant community and continue our tradition of serving bold-flavored foods in a fun and lively family-style setting. Stephanie and her team have also crafted new dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors, like carrot-tahini dip with tahini tofu, and curried goat with radishes, pickled vegetables, and masa chips. To enhance the experience we offer a selection of wines from around the world with a focus on small producers, a rotating list of craft beers, and a list of innovative cocktails created by our bartenders.

Located in the Arts District at 555 Mateo, Girl & the Goat offers dinner service Monday through Sunday, plus brunch Sunday. Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, travelers and adventurers!

    Be sure and look at drink prices. Didn’t notice until bill. The Girl Cadillac drink $34. Yikes! Some dishes great. Roasted carrots not good. Portions on proteins very small

    What a delightful restaurant! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the staff brought so much energy and joy to the experience. Yasmine was an absolute gem…bubbly, charming, and spot-on with her recommendations. She made our visit unforgettable!

    This place never disappoints! The service is friendly, the drinks are inspired and the food is so thoughtfully prepared and presented. Our favorite place to celebrate.

    Food was delicious but the wait staff needs some additional training. Just come in knowing what to expect and you won't be disappointed. Took our order incorrectly and hadn't offered to make it right. I guess it's our fault we didn't call him out on it right away, but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Had to repeat requests multiple times to service staff on several occasions. It wasn't even a busy day, so these lapses in service is unacceptable for a higher end establishment like this.

    The food is amazing. The ingredients are very fresh and the sauce they pair with the food is also very tasty. Overall a great experience with everything and can’t wait to see the new sister branch coming in the Bay Area.

    Outdoor patio was super cute heat lamps everywhere just in case anyone got cold. The food was amazing and staff was very accommodating. 10/10 I’ll be going back

    I seriously can’t wait to go back. The food was amazing coupled with great service. Incredible flavors that you’ll leave wanting more. Would recommend to any discriminating foodie.

    Last evening was my first visit to Girl & the Goat. I could not have asked for a better first impression/tasting of any restaurant in Los Angeles. From the wait-staff to the chef of the evening, we were treated as VIPs. The drinks were described to a T, and were served immediately. Note: the Goat Fashioned was probably the best, smoothest, New Fashioned I’ve ever had. We ordered seven items from the menu, which were brought to us in the order of our servers discretion - each one was outstanding. My guests and I took a vote of our top two favorites, and it was a complete mix – everything was delicious. We will definitely be back.
