                                                                                            We have spent many New Year’s Eve dinners at Stanford Grill now Glenwood. This was by far the most disappointing of all. Our waitress albeit very nice was extremely disorganized. Our water remained empty frequently and there were various missteps through the evening. If this was our first visit we probably wouldn’t come back. The food was excellent minus my cold fries. Kudos to the chef.

                                                                                            This was our second time at Glenwoods and we were excited to dine here again because we had a very pleasant time the first time. This time however was a little different. I made reservations for NYE far in advance and requested a booth if possible because it was our anniversary as well. We checked in early at 6:15 for our 6:30 reservation. We expected to wait a little so we went to the bar for a drink. Came back to the hostess stand around 6:40, table still wasn’t ready and patiently waited while we watched other parties of 2 who weren’t there when we checked in being sat at booths. Around 7 we were told our table was ready and we were brought to the absolute worst table in the restaurant located about 5 feet from the entrance and hostess stand which was over flowing with people. My wife and I joked that we should just invite the people waiting to sit at our table because they basically were anyways. This pretty much ruined our experience this time as it was hard to enjoy with our table area being crowded most of the evening. The food was good again for the most part. The Filet Mignon was just ok, nothing to write home about. But our Caesar salads and the rotisserie chicken were very good. Overall we left spending over $200 and wishing we had gone somewhere else where we could have had a more intimate dining experience for our anniversary and to bring in the new year.

                                                                                            Our party of four all ordered the 10oz Prime Rib, Medium Rare with Mashed Potatoes. Each order was done perfectly. Another great dining experience at Glenwood's.

                                                                                            Our group was eight persons. We had a great table ready for us when we arrived. We had made reservations via Open Table a day ahead. The service was efficient and the food arrived in a timely fashion. Each of several different meals was very good to excellent. Desserts were also quite good and freshly prepared. Overall well worth the cost, because everyone enjoyed their meal and we were able to relax over dessert and coffee with no feeling of being rushed at all.
