   I made a reservation on Open Table and was confirmed. When I arrived, I was told the restaurant was closed and they no longer honored Open Table reservations. I left.

   Delightful setup for Mother’s Day brunch with a vast spread of delicious options available!! The live band and decorations were just the right touch for this event!

   We have been here many times and always enjoy the brunch. We were here for mother’s day an although it was busy, their set up and service was great!

   We have been going to the Easter Brunch for 30 years! It never disappoints. There are so many choices of foods and the service is excellent. The live music is always a treat. We will continue coming and recommend to others.

   Great option for a nice place to eat in Rapid. Service was excellent and the food was amazing. We ended up sharing the special and it was perfect!

   We were a large group of travel staff from the hospital that were not be able to make it home for the Holiday. Gold Bison put on an amazing dinner and allowed us all space to gather and celebrate! The food was amazing- 3 carving stations, a salad table, a wide variety of side dish options, soups and breads AND a dessert table with coffee. We had a great wait staff who helped with orders from the bar. The reservation and check-in process was simple. There was even live music! All in all, we had a great time and are so grateful to everyone at Gold Bison for letting us have a great holiday with friends!

   To be clear, this reservation was for the Thanksgiving buffet only. I don't regularly eat at the Gold Bison Grill so to judge the facility only on the buffet would be unfair. To be blunt, I expected more for the money. I found most of the steam table "accompaniments" too sweet for my taste. I prefer savory over sweet. Texture wise I found them all very much the same much like any cafeteria fare. The proteins were fine but not exceptional as the turkey was actually formed and pressed loaf and the steamship round needed more seasoning as it had little taste. The food was just middle of the road. The menu was ambitious and variety was good. Now for the dining area. I lunched here some time ago in a different season and the atmosphere was pleasant given the number of people and not a buffet. Our seating up off the buffet level was mostly good except for the times when the crowd coming into the facility kept the outer doors open. It was cold outside with a light wind so with the doors hanging open at times there was an unwelcome chill. The entertainment was very good for this function. The service was excellent. I would most likely not do this again at this price.

    We always enjoy coming to Gold Bison for holidays. This would have been 5 stars, but we were seated in a room far away from the Potter singers. They are always a highlight of our Gold Bison experience and missed hearing them this year. Staff was friendly and accommodating as always.
