Located between the Delaware River and Canal in Bucks County, the Golden Pheasant Inn offers fine dining and luxurious accommodations in a truly picturesque setting. We are only one hour and thirty minutes from New York City or Philadelphia, and only 25 minutes north of New Hope, PA.
The Inn had previously been family-owned and operated for over 30 years by the Faure family. Jack Thompson, of the Thompson Organization and the Black Bass Hotel, purchased the Golden Pheasant in July of 2019 and plans to reopen in the new year. We look forward to welcoming you back to the Golden Pheasant Inn!

We went to the Sunday Brunch, and it couldn't have been nicer. On this cold morning the fireplace was burning to give it that extra ambiance. The Inn was nicely decorated for the holiday with soft music playing as well. The staff was professional, and the food delicious. We highly recommend you escape to enjoy a very nice dining experience.

Drinks, appetizers all great. Entrees were cold. Two were sent back to be heated. The room to the left is where we were seated. Compared to the room on the right, the noise level was very loud. Too loud actually for fine dining.

I hosted friends a couple and their son, at a table in the center of the room .. a perfect sunny day with windows all around and a real wood burning fire. Easy to converse, I felt taken care of and I can’t even remember waiting on anything.. the food / everything was perfect as was the delicious aromas of the food and long winter afternoon. Rays of light across the room and the view across the river with the sun hitting the white trunks of the sycamore trees .

We were looking for a special place to celebrate our anniversary. The Golden Pheasant Inn exceeded our expectations in every way. Our meal was delicious from soup, to salad, to entree to dessert. Every element was unique and delicious as were our cocktails. The setting was perfect for a relaxed meal. And Grace, our server, was charming, friendly and always there when needed but gave us space to enjoy our evening. Our best dining experience this year without question.

Dining at The Golden Pheasant Inn was a wonderful experience. My granddaughter and I, celebrating birthdays, sat by a real wood-burning fireplace. The bartender made a perfect Perfect Rob Roy, and the Espresso Pumpkin Martini was a tasty blend of ingredients. The Cape May salt oysters were fresh and chilled just right. Our entrees, the pheasant and risotto were beautifully presented, deliciously prepared, and completely consumed. The wine list provided an appropriate Pinot noir from Oregon to accompany our meal. The creme Bruce afterwards was among the best ever eaten. Most importantly, our server, Maria, really made our evening such a great success. She knew the wine list and menu by heart, so made knowledgeable suggestions that made everything work perfectly together. She was very pleasant and patient with us as well. Maria made everything into one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

We've long cherished The Golden Pheasant as a very special restaurant, an oasis where we could enjoy a delicious dinner in a classy setting and with attentive, well trained wait staff. The Golden Pheasant Inn was an elevated experience, a well oiled machine that followed a certain choreography to nurture its guests. It was not just some place that serves good food. Last night we were in a for a big disappointment. This was our first visit following the change of ownership. The bread that was served before dinner was frozen on the inside. My wife found a large onion skin in her meal, and her steak was hastily prepared in under 10 minutes. Even the diet coke, which would seem hard to mess up, was watery and clearly came from a cheap cartridge. Also, we both noticed significantly reduced portion sizes compared to previous visits. We were in and out in under an hour. I'm not sure whether or not this is the direction the new owners are giving the restaurant. If it is, it will be the wrong one for us. At the same time, we are business owners ourselves, and have first-hand experience with the difficulties of ownership transitions. That's why we will likely give the new Gold Pheasant another chance, hoping that we haven't lost this treasure in our area.
