Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.

The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

                                                All a bit average. Disappointing given the reviews on social media. The food is ok but not great. They definitely rely on the smoke rather than layering on flavour. Service feels inexperienced and we were being rushed to finish at just after an hour. Many better restaurants in London

                                                The staff were friendly whilst being efficient. The food was excellent and varied. I would particularly recommend the hot honey courgette frites and the chips cooked in beef dripping,

                                                Food was very tasty, and staff were very accommodating of us booking with 2 young children (both under 4). All I would say is staff were very quick to clear tables as soon as the last bite of food went in, which was a little frustrating. They seemed to want to tidy up quickly and hurry you out. Something that’s not welcomed when trying to enjoy a meal. But overall setting and location is perfect.

                                                Everything was really drenched in oil, the salads and mains, and the dips are all egg based. The broccoli wasn’t so much charred as cremated. It needs a lot less oil and a lot more freshness on the herbs, dips etc. The restaurant also needs a better extractor as the room (and now my hair) smells of meat fat which is not so great.

                                                Not much to look at (Formica top tables) but really worth going to for food quality and service. A very enjoyable long lunch with friends

                                                My friend and I dined here, we really enjoyed it. We want to come back to try more, but the lady who served us (not sure of her name) but all of her recommendations were great. Look forward to coming again.

                                                Staff were cool, but the food was really average. And they were really poor when it came a friend who has good allergens - and putting it right was also really missing. Service was good otherwise. Overall, 2/5.

                                                Splendid Fun. Amazing Food. Amongst the classy treats there's - chicken and chips...but not as you know it, or burger and chips...but not as you know it. There's a freshness and uniqueness- all those spices and herbs, those delightful dips and sauces. The menu works as a whole - all the parts fit from the charcoal grill to the crispness of the salads. A diffusion range, but united by the burn noisette, the unique chilli and the Mediterranean vibe. It fast becomes your favourite place to be. Hurrah.

                                                We were really looking forward to visiting Goldies. Arrived at 8:30 for reservation. Restaurant very smokey. Order food and told a few minutes later that the steak had sold out (the main reason for our visit). So we just had the lamb skewer (didn’t look anything like it does for the “influencers” on social media) fries and courgette fries. Both were over seasoned for our taste. Our server was very nice and attentive. Overall, disappointed with this experience. Would visit again, probably go a bit earlier and ask for a less seasoning.

                                                Headed to Goldies for an informal lunch catch up. Had a combination of starters - corn was beautifully spiced, the challah bread and hummus delicious and lovely mixture of skewers. Lovely ambience, delicious food perfectly seasoned and great service.
