Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. Highlights include a Merguez Scotch Egg with harissa mayonnaise, Marinated Baby Chicken with smoked yoghurt, and Grilled Wild Mushrooms, Baby Leek, and a confit egg yolk. In a nod to the founders’ French roots, variations of the iconic Frites are the signature of the restaurant, which are hand-cut and twice-cooked, in either beef dripping or vegetable oil.

The design of the space is centred on the expertise of wood-fired cooking, with kitchen counter seating to create a dramatic dining experience for guests. The interiors are cosy, with contemporary decoration, terracotta warm tones and a groovy musical atmosphere. Goldies features a noteworthy terrace that fits 30 guests.

The team at Goldies were totally lovely, and even gave us a (free) extra pot of one of the sauces from the starters to go with the fries because they could see how much we were enjoying it. The WOW burger does not look like a burger - if I had known a bit more about what that was like then I think I might have ordered one, but if that's my biggest complaint then they have done very well!

We enquired about Gluten-free offerings beforehand but on arrival that some we had been told would be safe were not which removed a few items we were looking forward to getting. That said, the Monkfish and Baby Chicken were excellent and the servers were very attentive which was excellent.

The meal was much nicer on first occasion. The second time it was greasy, cold and we sat at bar and it was stressful, evident that the chefs were under pressure. Originally loved but now hesitant to return which is disappointing

An ‘ok’ place - better places to eat in London for this price range. Some dishes reasonable and some overpriced. E.g - one chicken skewer for £9!

Fantastic restaurant - worth sitting at the counter and watching the chefs. The food was amazing and the staff were really friendly.

Excellent flavours with dishes unlike any we've had anywhere else - BBQ Corn and beef shin croquettes in particular. Great atmosphere, service and food! Very accommodating for allergies too - thank you.

Service was slow and patchy. The maitre d and the lead waitress spent more time hiding at the pass joking with the cooks than attending to their guests. Our food came before our cocktails. The baby chicken and the mushroom skewers were so heavily salted we couldn’t finish them. I get the concept, atmosphere and aesthetic, but execution was just very mediocre. Maybe it’s just growing pains.
