Situated on the main floor of the Gordon Hotel, The Gordon Tavern is an oasis of Americana. The modern decor with rustic undertones, features natural wood accents and serves as the perfect backdrop to a rich and clever menu of classic American comfort food with a northwest flair.

                                                This was our third year celebrating Thanksgiving at the Gordon Tavern and it is a tradition we plan to continue. This year was absolutely delightful. The food was delicious, our server Giovanna was amazing, and we had a wonderful evening! Thanks to every member of staff who were all friendly and welcoming, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We go to the Gordon often and it’s always special, but the holidays really shine!

                                                Completely disappointed in our Thanksgiving meal. Our reservation was for the Gordon Restaurant and they sat us upstairs at Carlitas. Nowhere in the reservation or phone call confirmation that I received prior to the date did they mention that they would utilizing the Mexican restaurant upstairs. Terrible ambiance. Not even the same restaurant. The drink menu was Carlitas which meant margaritas. Gross. I asked them for a drink on the Gordon Drink menu since I’m a regular there and knew the menu. They had to go downstairs to get it. I was never offered a second. The food was barely warm at best. Then they tried to charge us for three adult meals, we had our 9 year old son with us. I had to remind them that he was supposed to be the child’s rate. I will definitely not be back for another holiday.

                                                We reserved a table in the Tavern for Thanksgiving but were taken up to their upstairs restaurant instead, which was very disappointing. The food was fair but the ambiance was not.

                                                Excellent meal, service was so-so, but the flavor of the meal made up for it. Fish and chips, and fried chicken were excellent

                                                Great great food! High end recipes and ingredients without the stuffy atmosphere- i.e. casual but elegant. Wonderful bar and appetizers. Entrees have something for everyone, from hand crafted pizzas to rack of lamb.

                                                Trendy restaurant with great hosts and servers. Fun place to make the scene but not the place for a quiet romantic date. Happy hour offerings are good.

                                                Great service, however they forgot to put in my mom’s order. She got her food after everyone else finished. (Yes we shared with mom) Still paid full price for the meal. Lamb - Awesome, but overpriced. Burger - It was a burger. Tuna - Odd with the orange sauce. Nana loved her fish and chips. Mom ate her wedge salad and shared others. Apps - Tuna - Excellent. Calamari - Excellent Drinks - Excellent. It was a bit loud and hard to hear conversations.

                                                The waitstaff were very overwhelmed. I felt sorry for him- he did his best. It took 15 minutes to order tea and another 15 to receive it. The food took a long time, but was good. The restaurant was well decorated and the menu had great options. I am sure in a fully staffed day, Gordon’s Tavern is much better than our experience.
