The grand bohemian wine bar is the place we have been looking for. So many wines to try either by the glass or the ounce. The service was top notch and what will have us come back for more. We were told that they also have live music 4 nights a week. The food was expertly prepared and was paired with the perfect wine. Next time we have to have the oysters with some champagne.

Eric was great! He was very knowledgeable about the wine and offered great tips for our stay in Charleston. Really enjoyed our evening!

Warning! OpenTable reservations don’t mean a thing here. The app allows you to reserve outdoors but when you arrive it turns out to be first come first served. We reserved outdoors but that was full. We took a table indoors, being told they would move us outside to first available table. Not! Someone would leave and the table would be immediately occupied by some other party walking down the street. The staff did nothing to manage tables.

It was a great experience. I wish they had a flight list for wines set up rather than randomly choosing wines. Eric was a pro with this and helped us out. Fruit flies were everywhere and we had some fall in our glasses a couple times. Charcuterie board was very sub-par for a wine bar, no options and very little on it.

The Wine Bar is on the main level of the Grand Bohemian Hotel, just off the main reception area. They have along bar or smaller individual tables inside or if it's nice you can sit outside smaller tables on the street level patio. They have live music outside on the patio on Thursday to Sunday in the evenings. Too bad cigar smokers are allowed to smoke there, as it ruins it for non-smokers. They offer different wine from around the world. The wine was good but nothing fabulous. You have your choice of wine portions which is nice if you want to create your own wine flight. The server was really fun and attentive. Food is tapas and small plates size. Carpaccio is supposed to be excellent. The truffle fries were really good but the charcuterie was just okay. I would definitely recommend. Fun way to spend an evening.

Omg. Eric was amazing as a sommelier. It was exactly what we needed. A respite from grand gourmet and into fine palate. We had a wine tasting and a charcuterie board with frites that had the best sauce ever.

This gem is located under the hotel with a wonderful wine connoisseur that can understand your wine preference and serve you some of the best wine I’ve had. You also can “make your own flight” or ask him to help you decide which wine to choose. The variety of wine and the atmosphere is perfect for a date or small gathering. There is live music Thurs-Sun, which elevated our experience. Get the beef carpaccio appetizer… you will be amazed at how delicious it is! 15/10
