The Grandote Steakhouse is located at the Grandote Peaks Golf Course (in the clubhouse) in La Veta, Colorado. Guests can eat traditional American fare prepared by our chefs - prime rib, steak, chicken, pork, salmon and other cuts of meat, plus a full salad bar with every meal, two sides and homemade rolls. We also have vegan, vegetarian, gluten free, and dairy free menu options. Dress code is casual, and the wine list is sure to please. Currently open from 11 am to 8 pm Monday through Saturday. Saturdays are prime rib nights - please make reservations at OpenTable.com. Dinner is $22-$45 per person.

Steak and salmon were pretty excellent. It's still a small-town feel with hyper-local clientele. But that's the charm. It feels like burgers and brats but it's more. Sit outside and enjoy the patio at sunset for drinks or dinner, see the deer mosie along the fairway. I'll be back.

Great food and great service! We enjoyed the 'ladies' size prime rib - very flavorful and tender! As a bonus the view of the Spanish Peaks - amazing! We will be back ...next time chicken fried steak!

Ribeye was too fatty. Over seasoned with rosemary. Prime rib was excellent!

I made a reservation for a Monday night. We got there and they were not serving dinner, had no steak. They said they could make us a sandwich. They said the Chef does not come in until Tuesday evening.

Won’t go again. Took 20 minutes to get a menu. After we ordered, we were repeatedly told our food would be served soon. An hour after we ordered, the waitress informed us that she had forgotten to input our order into their system. The table next to us had the same thing happen to them. We left without being served or an apology.

The service is always good! The food is also very good but it would be nice if it were warmer. It’s not cold but just lukewarm. That is about the only suggestion I would pass on. The overall value is excellent!!

I'm pretty sure the $35.00 was to include sides but ended up paying for them which brought it up to $40.00 per plate which I think is high for the area

What a pleasant evening and dinner at Grandote on Valentine’s Day! The staff was great, service splendid and enjoyed meeting the new chef and golf pro. Should be a great summer season for golf and now a great restaurant too.

We had a wonderful time! It felt more like family than just a restaurant experience. Food was amazing! We will be back.
