Greenhouse Cafe and Tavern offers family friendly dining experience. Join us for our new Dining room and Bar or 'al fresco', alongside our beautiful pond and waterfall amongst beautifully planted gardens. We focus on the "farm to table" concept and work hard to ensure that as much product as possible is locally sourced to ensure the freshest and most delicious menu offerings. Be sure to finish off your meal at The Frozen Gnome ice cream shop located next door!
We have our own gardens and greenhouses onsite where we are growing as much product as possible for use in our recipes.
Look for our weekly specials which feature fruits and vegetables as they come into season. We offer fresh, local and sustainable seafood.
We travel regularly to purchase product for use in our restaurant from one of the best farmers in the business. Our route takes us through the famous Rhode Island ports and allows us to take advantage of the freshest seafood possible!

Disappointing experience… After a long day of travel, my toddler and I were ready to eat! We found this place on Google and it sounded perfect, so we made a reservation ASAP. We were promptly seated and drinks came quick, but there was an unfortunate mixup with our food order and my kiddo was served something they didn’t order. The food runner took their plate back and we sat there with my plate of food in front of me while we waited... I expected it to be quick as it was only buttered pasta. Our waitress eventually came to check on our table and saw that my child didn’t have their food. I explained what happened and after another too long wait, their pasta arrived. By this time my plate of food (burger & fries) had gone cold and soggy. It looked and smelled good when it first came out, but I couldn’t bring myself to eat much of it since it was sitting for so long and the sogginess of the bun and fries was off putting. Annoyed, we paid full price and tipped 20% and left. Never offered anything but a simple, “I’m sorry.” Better luck next time? Maybe. I don’t think we’ll be back for a while.

Excellent table location, salad was fresh, crispy and tasty with balsamic dressing, entree bake stuffed sole was delicious, and bread pudding with chocolate caramel coconut glazed topping was extraordinary. Wine was delicious and Christmas holiday ambiance was spectacular.

Great service! Holiday cocktails were delicious! Even when the restaurant started getting loud our table was tucked in the front by a window so we were able to have conversations without yelling. Definitely will be back and glad this is where we had our last meal in 2024.

Have been to this restaurant many times. Every time everything has been great. This past visit we were there on new years eve. The restaurant was decorated beautifully and the food was excellent as always!

The festive, well-poured cocktails were perfect for New Years Eve, and the food was delicious. The holiday decor is absolutely gorgeous, too. The kids and the adults have a fantastic meal!

Love Greenhouse! Food is consistently delicious. Always have a wonderful selection of specials. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Christmas decorations were amazing and beautifully done!! Service was so slow, drinks and food took forever and once the food arrived it was cold. We were so hungry that we didn’t want to wait forever again for the food be warmed or remade, so we just ate. We paid the bill before another long wait for dessert!

Place was busy and clearly the service and the kitchen could not keep up. It seems like the experience would be a great one on a slow night. But clearly they could not handle a busy restaurant.
