    Roxy and the team gave very good service and the wait for food was very minimal. Food was excellent. The only reason they get a reduced score is that we didn't get any water but the staff were distracted by a customer being quite irritating about how his food was cooked, it looked ok to me. We also had a knife that wasn't sharp enough to cut steak. Will definitely go back. We both had the ribeye and couldn't fault it. The beer was also very good.

    Lovely flat iron steak. Lovely cauliflower. Lovely chips. Just one dessert though. And not much wine to choose from

    Food was nice but walking through the bar to get to the bathroom surrounded by staff was a bit odd. Sauces and sides were expensive. Atmosphere was ok - when a strange guy was staring through the window watching us all and making us feel a bit uncomfortable so was a bit off putting. Staff moved him in after locking the door. Was an ok meal but for the pricing expected a little better.

    Simple ingredients were not available and condiments were not available as they had run out( all of which could have been purchased locally) Staff were embarrassed

    Both me and my friend had the fillet steak. They were delicious and both of us said about coming back for the tomahawk steak. Service was great, got seated quickly with nice friendly staff.

    Came across this restaurant on Facebook and thought we would try it for my birthday. Great food, excellent service. Would highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

    We really enjoyed our Saturday evening meal at Griddle Bar and Meat house and will definitely be coming back. We sat downstairs and the atmosphere was really good. We had booked but when we arrived our table wasn’t ready, we came back 20 mins later having gone for a drink. We ordered the red wine but would have liked a bit more choice of wines. We had the chateaubriand which was cooked really well, chips were tasty and salad a nice side. I think this place is close to 5 stars all round, the team are new and need a bit of time to come together, organise themselves a little better and to anticipate what the tables need (we had to asked for cutlery and plates and needed to ask for condiments). Small things that can easily be improved on. This is exactly the type of restaurant that Ely needs; good quality food, cooked well and local. We’ll be back!

    Staff were helpful and informative, food was cooked nicely and tasty. My only criticism would be the cost of some of the sides, I thought £4 for a very small pot of coleslaw and £3 for an even smaller pot of sauce was a little excessive. Saying that I would still recommend the restaurant if asked

    On arrival, shown to our table by the waitress. Finally ordered our drinks, asked for jug of tap water for the table. This did not arrive and had to ask 3 times for the water. Finally ordered our food. Found the pricing quite expensive as we had to order sides and sauces at an extra charge each. For instance I paid £15 just for a garlic chicken breast. Following our order, most food arrived, when 2 of our diners were told that they could not have the chips as the fryer had gone off so they could get a refund on these, no option of having another side order. We had to ask if we could change the side orders. 1 diner asked for a burger, when arrived it was pink. Asked if we could have this well done, waitress took the burger back to the chef and we could hear quite clearly he was no happy and asked what the problem was with it. The waitress came over and asked if the burger was cold, to which the diner said no I just want the burger well done. Finally got our meals, had to ask for the sauces as they did not come with the meal. During the meal we could hear the chef raising his voice and another member of staff saying they did no wish to be spoken to like that, clearly some sort of argument between staff members. Over all we were left quite disappointed with meal and staff need to be where that diners can hear all the conversations going on.

    Hi Angela, Thank you very much for your feedback. We take seriously your comments and I have spoken to the kitchen. The kitchen assure me that it was banter that got too loud and there was no argument between staff members. We cook the meat to order and I'm very disappointed that we didn't meet our own or your expectations on both service and your meal. I can only apologise to you and thank you again for letting us know. We have taken your comments very seriously and have acted on them with our team.
