Brown Convention Center, Grotto Downtown offers a rustic, chic, and vibrant dining experience in the heart of Houston—within walking distance to Minute Maid Park, Toyota Center and Discovery Green. Valet is available at the entrance of Grotto Downtown. Self-parking is also available at the Avenida North parking garage, directly across the street on Rusk, where we will validate up to 3 hours for free.

    Service was terrible. Took hour to get food. We didn’t receive half of the drinks ordered. They ran out of food so had to change our order for two people twice. Dessert took another 30 to 40 minutes

    This really is some of the BEST food I've ever had in Houston. We've been there several times and will be back

    Our food was cold and we waited an hour to get our order, one of the plates wasn’t what we ordered and my husband had to wait another 25 mins to get his plate

    Excellent and fast service. First time there and was very busy. Staff moved people quickly, gently and thoughtfully. I highly recommend.

    Great place if you are attending at event at the convention center as it’s attached. They were very understaffed and we had to wait a long time for our food. The pizza came out cold but we had waited so long that we didn’t send it back. The poor waitress was exhausted and we felt very bad for her. Overall the food was tasty and it was convenient.

    Food portions are very small for the price, but the food was delicious. Service was very slow at the pizza bar and I had to flag down the waitress several times.
