For more than 30 years, Gulfstream Cafe has been a sought-after spot for birthdays, anniversaries and more thanks to the picturesque waterfront view and authentic coastal cuisine. The laid-back atmosphere at this Garden City institution complements the fresh seafood and southern favorites, choice options include broiled Lobster Tail, creamy She Crab Soup and jumbo lump Crab Cakes. Head back for their seasonal Oyster Roasts or watch the sunset on the rooftop deck, all wildly popular (and Instagram-worthy). *Please note: Guests are permitted to park in any open space on our shared lot.

    Gulfstream Cafe’s Sunset Deck is as unique as the restaurant itself. With romantic views of the sunset, its own entrance and bar– it’s like having a small restaurant reserved just for you and your guests.The deck and bar can accommodate up to 40 guests for a seated event or up to 50 for a cocktail reception. Our main dining room can also be reserved for larger private events.

    This is one of our favorite places to dine. The food is delicious and the service is above and beyond. Everyone we spoke with was enthusiastic and friendly. I definitely recommend the Hush puppies with Honey butter!! You won’t be disappointed!

    This was definitely one of my favorite Thanksgiving dinners. We were in Myrtle Beach this week with friends and had convinced them that, in the South, you want a seafood meal on Thanksgiving. They were almost convinced, but not completely. We made a reservation at Gulfstream Cafe, for the location, great beach setting, and the Oysters Rockefeller, She Crab Soup, and Grouper Francaise, all of which we ordered. On top of these choices, two members of the group got the full Thanksgiving dinner. Service was excellent. The food arrived almost as soon as it was ordered, but not too quickly. Everything was delicious, and we looked out on the beach from a wonderful corner table! Kudos and thank you to the Gulfstream Cafe!

    Seating upstairs for 2 was wonderful. For 2 we had enough time for eating Thanksgiving menus. Waitress was jovial….but we were early on this busy day. Great experience

    We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. The food and service were very good. We did not leave hungry.

    We celebrated our anniversary at a terrible table after making a reservation weeks in advance and I let them know it was a special occasion. They wished us happy anniversary several times but we were denied access to better table when we requested. We pointed to a better vacant table which was still vacant when we left after dinner. It was not crowded. The shrimp in the grits and gravy had tails on and were over cooked. The sausage was mushy. We had been there many times and had enjoyed every time before but we won’t be back. There are too many wonderful alternatives in the area. As a retired newspaper editor in Charleston I’m pretty familiar with good shrimp and grits and I know the steps necessary to obtain a decent table. I intend to spread the word about GulfStream Cafe and Open Table.

    We went on a Sunday and, even though they had a Brunch Buffet we opted to order from the menu. The food was hot and fresh and delicious! The service was excellent. The server was kind and very enthusiastic. We were also greeted by management who came to make sure everything was to our liking. Overall great experience and I recommend this restaurant.
