Gusto (pronounced Goo-sto) means tasty in Italian. Located in Toronto’s Corktown neighbourhood, Gusto 501 brings together the innovation of sister restaurant Gusto 101 and the soulful hospitality of Janet Zuccarini’s first restaurant, Trattoria Nervosa. Since opening our doors in 2020, Gusto 501 has been serving fresh takes on Italian fare in Toronto’s east end. Designed by award-winning architecture firm PARTISANS, Gusto 501’s space is punctuated by glowing terracotta walls and an oversized “garage door” façade that opens up to reveal a multi-level dining theatre.

Every level of Gusto 501 unfolds into a unique experience. Whatever you're craving, there's always a seat at the table for you - our famiglia.

Gusto is always a great place to go for happy hour and I’ve been going for years. But I was very disappointed that the Happy hour at the Gusto 501 is not the same options as the Gusto 101 location. I made resos at the 501 assuming since it’s the same restaurant that the happy hour HOUSE WINE $3.00 - 6oz, Arancini $10, and MAFALDE AI FUNGHI $16 was availabe but our server said no they are different restaurants. I’m confused as to why would there be way more selection for the Gusto 101 location for happy hour. I wouldn’t recommend coming back to this 501 location if you can get better deals at 101.

Gusto 101 and Gusto 501 are two separate restaurants with different offerings on their respective happy-hour and regular menus. Although some menu items are the same, many are different. Our sister restaurant, Gusto 101, would be happy to host you!

Great food, and great environment, would’ve been nice if the service was a tad better, not that anyone was rude but more so I made it clear I was celebrating my 1 year anniversary with my girlfriend and we didn’t even get a congrats and that was disappointing.

Our experience was fabulous, we enjoyed the avocado toast and malfada fungi, incredible pasta. The pizzas also looked amazing and i will definitely try next time a round. T ge staff were super responsive and very helpful.

Reservations are only for 1hr20m. We were rushed to leave after sitting for an hour because of another reservation. It’s very annoying.

We were here to celebrate my partner’s birthday and it was great! The food is amazing, the space feels modern and its really nice! We enjoy overall our dinner time here. I will only suggest bigger table as we order some pizza and the table was a bit small we couldn’t move easily, but everything else was amazing, our server was really nice too! Definitely coming back.

I have been to Gusto many times and this time was disappointing. Same great service and ambience but the portions were much, much smaller than they used to be and the prices were the same or more. Gusto used to be a go-to but with the shrunken portion size and higher prices, I won’t be going back anytime soon.

Any Gusto you visit will promise a good meal! Having been a longstanding establishment within the dining community it comes down service. My experience (this time) at Gusto 501 was....fair. Again....food will always be amazing; ambiance was fitting for the evening, but it was the service that was lackluster (again...this time). Our server wasn't around when we needed her and at times we had to ask other servers to call ours over. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt since it was a busy night but not sure I can get there since we've received more attentive service on busier nights. Aside from that, everything at Gusto was as expected.
