Our owner, Chef Richard Hales a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away mastering Asian cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Where do I start? Gracious staff, accommodating and knowledgeable. Dumpling tower SO good! Tiger shrimp outstanding! Carrot cake epic! You are a home run! Even your coffee was terrific. Where have you been? I’ve lived here 17 years and this was my first time at BlackBrick.

My wife and I had a great experience coming here, and it was the right decision for my wife's birthday. Waiters, waitress, managers they were all on point from start to end with service. I didn't have to ask twice in most places. Food was great! Everything was too tier! I will definitely come back, and recommend other people to come as well. Thank You Hales Blackbrick for a wonderful experience!

Chef Richard made a point to stop and introduce himself and personally thank everyone for joining him. The duck was an excellent choice and the service was top notch.

Foods decent but over priced and some portions are small. Do not get the lobster fried rice… zero flavor (sent it back due to lobster being undercooked) Fried chicken, short rib and salt and pepper shrimp were good. Lamb wontons were ehhh. Don’t get the chocolate cake - nothing special.
