Our owner, Chef Richard Hales, a four generation Tampa family since 1954, is back in his hometown of Tampa after 25 years away. Mastering Chinese cuisine, opening award winning restaurants and appearing on the Food Network; beloved by the likes of Guy Fieri. Our seasonal menu features Asian techniques using the fi nest ingredients and availability of locally sourced produces. Chef Hales’ invites you to experience an eclectic ambiance, elevated service and his version of Asian fusion.

It is a great new restaurant in south tampa . Very beautiful decor . Unfortunately like every other restaurant on Saturday night it is very very noisy with loud music . We will definitely return on a week day . Food and dessert are delicious but capuccino needs to improve . Great service and attention from the manager . Will return soon .

Turn the music down. Neither the waiter nor us could hear each other. S&P shrimp, ribs & shrimp/bamboo dumplings were great. Yangchu rice needed a little more salt and the cauliflower would be even better with peanuts. Banana cream pie was delicious. Waiter disappeared at the end of our meal and we had to wait a bit to get our check and leave. Otherwise, staff was great. Will return.

We had an incredible dinner! Do not skip the dumpling tower… it was delicious. We enjoyed the pork belly which they torch at your table. Sauces are unbeatable! Dan Dan noodles are spicy and so yum! My husband had the rabbit and loved it. The winter martini should definitely be staple on the menu, also. Superior service - so attentive to refilling glasses and making sure we had everything we wanted. They make you feel like a VIP!

Hales is our favorite restaurant, and Hyde Park is a beautiful new spot! The food and service are outstanding! We have always loved the duck and the ribeye special. Don’t miss the tiger shrimp. Drew Park is smaller and quieter, but the outstanding food and service are equal at both locations!

Food has delicious flavors combined with perfect textures! Staff is super nice! Be sure to ask about how spicy things are so you can ask them to tone it down a little, for ex, green beans - super spicy!

We were so impressed! Everything was beyond our expectations. The food, ambiance, service, everything is 100/10. We had the tomahawk that was on special and it was phenomenal. Also the lamb, short ribs, Dan Dan noodles and soup dumplings deserve a mention. So delicious and we can’t wait to go back!

I had made reservations for a new years experience but when I got there, they sat us outside and advised they closed at 10. This was not the new years plans we had in mind and it set the experience terribly. I honestly don’t know if I will be returning. We tried to ask if there’s any possible way to have us inside and they denied us twice yet there were empty tables at 8:45 when they “close at 10”. It’s safe to say I did not get any new years experience it seemed liked it was a quite the day night dinner.

Our dining experience was outstanding - from cocktails to dessert! Whitney was attentive, the food was beyond delicious, and it was a pleasure to meet the owner as he welcomed us. Cannot wait to go back!
