Waited 45 minutes for main meals to arrive. Many other tables were served before us and they had starters same as us. Think they lost the order. Food: entree of prawn dumplings was tasty. The main meal of prawn and ginger shallots had 3 chunks of ginger no shallots and was lacking flavour well presented. Honey prawns for my other diner was like treacle stuck to the mouth this was not honey. Very expensive meal. Noisy atmosphere. Won't be coming back.

The food and service were outstanding For a set menu banquet. All dishes were delicious and plentiful. We indulged in a few cocktails. All were delicious and priced the same as local cocktail bars.

Our food was once again amazing !! Prawn toast to start, satay chicken and Mongolian lamb with special fried rice and a couple of beers. Unfortunately, as happened on our last visit one of the main meals came out a good 10 minutes before the second main and rice. It was not overly busy and they were ordered at the same time. It’s a little disappointing to have this happen and one diner not wanting to start before the 2nd diners meal arrives.

Best Chinese food Ive eaten. The puffs are a total surprise and spectacularly good. Expensive but well worth it.

It may not look like much from the outside, but boy oh boy were we surprised today. The food was absolutely spectacular. It was authentic and yet so beautifully presented. We ordered cooked dishes, not dim sum and dumplings. The beef was exceptional and the sweet and sour fish was Devine. The vegetables were crunchy and the tofu seafood dish was very tasty. The atmosphere was wonderful with beautiful colours and coordinating tableware. The bathrooms were clean and comfortable and parking was easy to get too. All in all, we would go back again and again and again. A spectacular food joint.

It’s easily the best Chinese in Newcastle.. great service and the food was amazing .. subtle sauces that didn’t overpower the delicate seafood …

I have now been a number of times to Hao Chi. The service and food is exceptional and has now been for some time. I always love going back and feel welcomed at the door. The dumplings are to die for. A rare great chinese meal outside of the capital cities. Well done Andy and all the staff.

Wonderful atmosphere and the staff are lovely. My entree, vegetarian dumplings was late, but worth the wait. My main meal was forgotten, and the manager intervened. It was sorted out and I was happy. The food and choices of wine, I must say, was fabulous! We will go back again in the New Year.
