Tucked away in an old cobbled yard between Cannon Street and Bank stations, Harry's Bar & Dining Room has a great atmosphere and prides itself on the quality of its food, wine and service, being professional yet friendly. Offering a fine British/Modern European cuisine the menu includes dishes such as new season Smoked Salmon Gravlax, or Seared Venison Loin Harry's Bar is renowned for the quality and freshness of the ingredients and, in particular, the char-grilled Scottish fillet steaks which are always a winner! A little gem in the City, smart yet homely surroundings and faultless service, and a very easy place to feel comfortable in.

Lunch for four, had to move our booking time back by 30 minutes. Not a problem, great food and great service.

All in all it was a good experience. There was only one thing that spoilt it. Upon ordering our food we were given a board with Artisan breads and oil. We told them we didn’t order it and didn’t want it. They left it there for the duration of the meal. We never touched it as we didn’t want it and told them a couple of times as much. Upon receiving the bill and paying it we noticed the breads were on there and charged for. All be it only £3 I pointed it out to the server as I was a bit miffed after telling them we didn’t want it and being charged for it, it was the principle. Then to be told oh every table gets one! I said but we didn’t ask for it and never touched it, you should have taken it away not charged us. She said oh sorry that’s just what we do here. I told the manager I wasn’t pleased either I thought it was a cheek. It made no difference we got no refund. As I said it’s only £3 but if they do that to everyone everyday that’s adds up to a good profit for them. Forcing people to pay for something they neither asked for or ate. Bad business. It was for my birthday as well.

A good evening as always at Harry’s. A little busier than usual but service didn’t suffer even if noise levels were a little higher than usual. The food was very good and we enjoyed our evening.

Met up with an old friend for lunch, the food was excellent and the service friendly and efficient without being overbearing. Will definitely be back in the new year.

Harry's Bar represents outstanding quality and value for a restaurant in the City of London . Comfortable , good service , excellent food and well priced wines . All with an energetic buzz !

A great place for lunch with a decent menu and drinks list. Service could not be faulted and the quality of food was also above average. Will be on my list to revisit in 2025. Thank you to the team.

Even by Harry's standards some wonderful food here including the Coq au Vin from the Beaujolais Week menu, clearly made with very high quality chicken, and from the same menu a gorgeous burnt sugar hinted pear Tarte Tatin. On this very busy evening Chloe the front of house manager served my table herself to keep things moving briskly, thanks so much Chloe.

Hi Mark, Thank you for your comments, our Head Chef bought in specially selected French Coq's for the Coq au Vin to ensure it was cooked in the authentic manner, so very pleased to hear you enjoyed it!
