This is the best restaurant in Columbus! The food was spectacular and we loved the wine pairings with each course. We can’t wait for the menu to change to come back! Also loved how small and intimate the whole restaurant felt.

If you are looking for Americanized Sushi, may be it is ok. From Japanese stand point, raw fish was good but sushi rice is also key to the good sushi and it wasn’t good at all. It was far off from the sushi rice that you eat in Japan. Wasabi was weak. Not sure if you are aiming for Americanized sushi or aiming for true Japanese. Not trying to harm but above is opinion and hopefully sushi rice will improve. (Also I have never been to sushi restaurant that does not provide soy sauce and wasabi - even in high end restaurants they provide high quality fresh wasabi). Good luck!

Hi Takako, thank you for coming to dine with us. We have read your publicly posted opinion that was not trying to harm and thanks for the feedback. We do not place soy sauce on tables however we absolutely have soy sauce and wasabi available for our guests upon request. As we are an omakase restaurant and not an off of the menu sushi restaurant, our chefs season and garnish the sushi as they make it and hope that you will enjoy the sushi as presented in the multi-course tours. We do not serve traditional, simple sushi but rather inspired sushi that has layered flavors and textures such as our hirame (Japanese flounder) with pickled wasabi, ikura and lime zest. We understand the association that soy sauce and wasabi have with sushi for many people, even from a Japanese stand point.

Chef Yudi was exceptional - in his preparation of each dish, and in his explanation...my sons and I peppered him and his staff with questions about the ingredients, preparation, taste, etc...and every question was answered....very satisfying for a first-time experience. The wine and sake pairings were also spot on, to accentuate the taste of the sushi. Yes, it's a bit expensive, but worth the experience! Can't wait to come back!!!!

Absolutely amazing experience! You must sit at the counter to enjoy the sights and stories from the chef. Varied and amazing drink menu and ridiculously fresh fish. Must try in Columbus!

I went with a group of friends and we sat at the bar to get the full experience. Chef Yudi and his team were very friendly and great at explaining every single detail of each dish. The food and drinks were amazing - this was the first time our entire group of friends agreed that we loved every single item. We have already verbally committed to coming back for each of our birthdays and timing it when the menu changes so we can try everything. We all highly recommend trying HARU - you won't regret it!

Very good omakase. Five diverse courses, each unique and flavorful. Added uni, salmon sashimi, and wagyu selections Decent sake menu. Recommended. Great addition to Columbus cuisine! Well done!
