Despite South winds, it was a beautiful and very pleasant, cool day beachside at the Hau Tree. The food was good. The sun was out. The wine was tasty and just right.

Took the family to Hau Tree and an amazing location on the beach. Great ambiance with view of the ocean and Waikiki. Food was delicious with gluten free options. The pastas were off the charts good. Only issue was the portion were small.

Lovely dinner. Everything was great. Our only complaint was there was only one table seated when we arrived 10 minutes before our reservation. They would not seat us until our time which we thought was odd. The issue was we asked for a table by the wall. We had to ask several times. They for some reason didn’t wanted to give us other tables but not one on wall even though it was available. It was very odd to have to ask several times. Other than that it was perfect.

We love going here for special occasions. Today, I was a little disappointed. It seems like the staff is not happy. They did not check on us once our food was brought. We had to ask for refills on coffee multiple times. We used to come here quite often before they renovated. They changed over staff and it has not been the same since. Truly unfortunate.

Hau Tree is BY FAR our favorite place to eat on the island of Oahu. Great food, a kind and conscientious waitstaff, and stellar bar drinks. Breakfast is probably our favorite, but I've never ordered anything there I didn't love at any meal. And the LOCATION! Right on the beach! We truly love this place.

Overall, service was excellent and we enjoyed the meal. It’s been a year since we dined here and we recalled the food was better on prior visits. However, we still enjoyed it and would return for special occasions as you can’t beat views!

Checked in for reserved time. They said they were setting the table. We then waited over 10 minutes. They never called us, but seated other people who checked in. When I went up to check, they seemed to have forgotten us. From the time we got the appetizer and salad, 3 pasta entries and one main dish salad took one hour to be served. It was a very long wait. The waitress stopped checking on us. I think it was hard for her because the kitchen was behind. We did not want to order dessert or drinks because it would have taken too long.

Food was good but service very lacking. Restaurant unable to accommodate food allergies of member of our party. Server did not provide options that could work and kitchen unwilling to make food without marinades to avoid allergy. Disappointing evening despite high expectations.
