    Hau Tree has a wonderful atmosphere especially after sunset with hanging lanterns gracing the trees. My husband and I had the octopus, miso Caesar, fresh fish/ monchong and the roasted potato side. All was very good. The highlight-roasted potatoes in a harissa Hollandaise sauce. They have a very nice wine list including Champagnes. Our server was very good as well. Timely and pleasant. We are going to try the tasting menu next time.

    昨年よりも一品2ドルほど高くなっていましたが味はいつも通り美味しかったです。アボカドトーストは昨年と違い､卵がのってました。雰囲気は最高ですね。

    I’ve been before, maybe this was because it was the day after the holiday, the food looked and tasted like airplane food

    What an AMAZING INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! A++ all the way around. Our time at Hau Tree saved our overall views on dining in Hawaii. The two previous nights at the restaurants we dined at prior to coming to Hau Tree were abysmal, but Hau Tree was absolutely spectacular. The ambiance, the most delicious food, and most of all, our servers Jordan and Erin were the the best. To the owners, whatever you’re doing, keep doing it. You are the essence of Aloha. Dining at the Hau Tree was well worth the expense and we will be back every time we return to Hawaii. Thank you all for saving what had been the worst dining experiences at prior restaurants!

    I explained my dietary restrictions in the booking, I then explained that to the server who said she’d help. Then never came back to me, just ignored me all night from that point on. Food was displayed interestingly for a styling shoot but very poor on taste. The best thing was the nice trees with the lights, cocktail & friendly bar staff.

    Arrived on time for reservation only to wait about 20 minutes since table was not ready. 5 course Christmas Dinner was $145/pp so our expectations were high. Appetizers, salad, pasta were good. Entree disappointing: scallops not hot, asked for charred finish which didn’t happen. Prime rib was very average. Strawberry dessert below average. Would have preferred option to choose 3 course dinner since it was too much food. We desired this venue for our family from the mainland but were sitting too far back and also missed the sunset since table was not ready. Still, being with family made our Christmas special.

    We enjoyed the casual, relaxed atmosphere of this place, located at Kaimana Hotel. Our waiter was personable and checked in on our table regularly. We were probably the only patrons who were not guests at the hotel. The menu is pretty concise and prices are a little on the steep side, averaging $27 for a frittata or eggs benedict. My only grouse was that the food took a long time coming but that could be because the restaurant might have been busier than usual.
