      Ottima atmosfera e accoglienza da parte di una gentilissima e professionale cameriera di origine Greca. Abbiamo mangiato un pesce freschissimo e molto buono, il Monkfish (Rana Pescatrice). Assolutamente Consigliato per una cena a Edimburgo.

      I'm no stranger to higher end dining and good steak restaurants but had never eaten in Hawksmoor - I had a price per head predetermined and the overall bill came on (including service) slightly under that. Steaks were perfect and wine perfectly paired and priced . Accompaniments were generously portioned and excellent . We were not rushed with our server incredibly tactful as they approached their next booking - top marks there. We will definitely be back

      Hawksmoor always feels like a special occasion meal, even if it’s just lunch during a shopping trip. The ambience is laid back and relaxed, the service is professional and friendly, the food is excellent. Some may feel the menu is limited but this means it’s all tried tested and tasty. The cocktails and wind list are unpretentious and delicious. Basically Hawksmoor is my birthday, anniversary, celebration, commiseration restaurant of choice. It makes everything better.

      We love coming to the Hawksmoor. We do so at the different locations in London as well as in Edinburgh. However, lately it has become a bit of a disappointment. The meat is not as tasty as it used to be. It might be the source or the meat is less matured than before. We had six chips in our portion. When we ordered a second one there were seven. The cream is spinach was over after four spoonfuls. This is extremely disappointing. We were recently at Gallaghers in New York, at El Capricho in Leon and at el Roncayo in Madrid. All of them top steakhouses, and in all of them the side order were plentiful. It feels to me that Hawksmoor has overstretched or lost the plot. The tiny portions put me off from ordering sides all together. If I order a side order make sure there is enough of it. As well as when I order a steak, it would be nice were the steak come from, not just somewhere from the UK. We hope that the Hawksmoor will be able to turnaround and go back to their amazing and joyful meals.

      We went in for the Sunday Roast, the restaurant itself is very pretty and was decorated for the holidays. Our food came out luke warm nothing special. But honestly the worst part was the service, no one checked in, one of the managers made the rounds and spoke to every table but us. We wanted more drinks and waved down 3-4 servers before anyone acknowledged us. But they wanted a 12.5% tip, for what? Disappointing experience.

      Whenever I'm in a city with a Hawksmoor I jump at the chance to eat there. With being in Scotland they had cuts from highland cattle so couldn't resist a prime rib. The food is always amazing and the staff are passionate about their jobs. Hawksmoor Edinburgh is in a grand building with a lot of history you can learn about from a leaflet they have available.

      The whole experience was outstanding From the welcome on reception the service is first class Food choice is great and cooked and presented to an outstanding standard Highly recommend

      The starter of prawn cocktail at £17 was a rip off and disappointing. The prawns were small and the portion was also small. There should have been at least a few large prawns mixed to give an impression of quality. The steaks were expensive but of excellent quality so had no issue.
