Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. On Sunday afternoons Hawksmoor keeps with the tried-and-true British tradition and features a Sunday Roast.

Completing our offerings are award-winning cocktails, including New York City's coldest martini, and a carefully curated wine selection. The restaurant houses 150 in the dining room and 35 in the bar area. There are also two private dining rooms that can hold 12 people and serve exclusive, family-style menus.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Impossibile parlare dal vociare. Pollo lesso. Birra in barattolo. Un’ora e cinque di attesa. Conto esorbitante.

Loved this spot. Epic ambiance in a very historic feeling space. Service was super attentive, friendly and warm. Great martinis. The scallop start was amazing. Our favorite dish. Steaks were also great, although we probably needed to order a sauce. The sticky toffee pudding dessert was incredible. A must order.

Was a very nice dinner and enjoyed the food a lot. By far the best part of our night was our waitress Skylar. Extremely sweet lady and helped us pick which items to order and provided excellent service. Even gave us a free salad! Will definitely be coming back again.

Hawksmoor was a great destination. Wonderful food and service but typical NYC steakhouse prices. However the $25 January lunch special was a homerun!

We are big fans of Hawksmoor and visit their London restaurants often and always get great service. The first time we visited the NYC branch it was great, but it was a very quiet night. For this visit it was very busy and I think the kitchen was struggling to cope. We were seated for at least an hour before receiving any of our food.

Had a nice meal with friends; food was good; server was great; nice ambience. Preferred the London outpost I visited, but am glad they are in NYC!
