Went for New Years Eve, didn’t realize it was a fixed 4 course menu so you couldn’t order off the regular menu. They ran out of the snapper that my husband really wanted from the fixed menu, they ran out of the desserts listed on the fixed menu (chocolate cheesecake and panna cotta) I really wanted the chocolate cheesecake, if I would have known they were going to run out I would have placed my full order for each course in advance as soon as the waitress started taking our order but she would only let us order 1 course at a time. so they substituted bread pudding for each of us. Which is disappointing because they wouldn’t let us substitute the filet for a ribeye When we requested, but when they ran out of fixed menu items they substituted whatever they wanted. The waitress was apologetic and said it was new managers who had never planned a new years fixed menu so they didn’t anticipate running out. When it got closer to midnight they offered champagne to other regular guests that the manager and our waitress toasted with and then after the New Year celebration the manager offered us a glass. Made us feel not as important as the other guests. It was our first time there, we usually go to Vargas for steaks but decided to try Hearsay for New Years. Will probably come back to try the regular menu to give them another try, but not a good start for new customers. Waitress was very kind and funny chatted with us for a bit, made our evening pleasant.

The waiter was not friendly nor familiar with wine and we had to have our bill redone as the deposit was not subtracted from our bill!

I like to think this was a one off because of new year's eve, but the restaurant wasn't prepared for the crowd they had on the books. We were a party of 4 with an 8 pm reservation. The restaurant offered a $75 new year's menu, an appetizer, soup or salad, entree and dessert. The appetizer came out fine, then we waited for our soup/salad, the soup was luke warm at best and the salad was just some lettuce on a plate. Entree took 45 minutes and again plate was cold especially for beef tenderloin and lamb chop, I ordered snapper and it turned into a steak and then a salmon plate was brought out instead with the phrase, the kitchen ran out of snapper. Our waitress all but disappeared, we were also told they have ran out of iced tea. The manager comped our entire meal and gave a gift certificate, we were not the only table they did that too. Not sure how much money they lost comping meals and giving out gift certificates.

Booked for New Year’s Eve for 8PM. Seemed like a really nice place to have dinner and listen to some live music. Asked at check in and also asked waitress if we would be able to hear the music from the patio. Assured both times that it would play through the speakers. Heard a decent band from across street; just not the one we came to see. Service was extremely slow. Food would arrive and then the utensil to eat it with; appetizers with no silverware on table, soup came, then the soup spoons after, steaks came and no steak knives. 2 of 3 steaks had to be sent back because they were rare, not medium rare as ordered. They did cover a small bit of the check, but this did not make up for the the service we experienced. Waitress was very nice and tried her best.

We love Hearsay and enjoy each location immeasurably. Hands down the best deviled eggs and drink selections are amazing. I finally tried the Pink Delicious and found a new favorite drink! We were lucky enough to be seated next to a couple who got engaged and that was beautiful!

I have been to several locations many times. NYE was a cluster. We liked our waiter and understand this is a hard job but we were not greeted promptly or get drinks promptly. Restaurant was freezing cold. I felt sorry for people dressed less than me. Steaks came out before we got appetizers or salads. Food is always delicious. Do I think it was worth the $200 ww sent last night no. I would rather have picked what I want or had the option. This place is always great for food and beautiful but last night not so much on service or room temperature.

We started my birthday dinner with our fabulous server Sara bringing us bacon wrapped shrimp and empanadas from the happy hour menu and tuna nachos from the regular menu for all 5 of us to share. All the food was DELICIOUS!! We then moved to dinner and we had scallops, the filet, tuna tacos and a crab cake...all I can say is WOW!! Everyone loved their meal!! Scallops and steak perfectly cooked and seasoned. Then we finished with crème brûlée for my birthday treat!! Such a fun evening and lastly the cocktails/drinks were also amazing! Thank you Hearsay for making my birthday extra special!!

We received excellent service from the moment we arrived. At reception, we were told that a table was waiting for us upstairs. My brother has difficulty climbing stairs so they made a special effort to arrange for us to get a table down stairs. Our wait person was awesome as well!

We came to Hearsay on Christmas Eve. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated lovely for the holiday. Our server, Sierra was very attentive especially when addressing my garlic allergy. The food was delicious and the menu had a lot of great choices. Would definitely go back.

The service at Hearsay on the Strand was upsetting and awful. I walked in with my party of 4 and was ignored for twenty minutes before being acknowledged. Staff refused to make eye contact. After seating, no waitstaff approached our table for over 30 minutes. We got up and left.
