Hickory & Ash is a modern American meatery, offering hand crafted, Colorado-centric cuisine. Located within the Arista Broomfield community, Hickory & Ash features lunch, dinner and brunch menus that offer a variety of hickory grilled, sustainable and locally sourced ingredients, such as beef provided exclusively by the esteemed Aspen Ridge Ranch. Highlights from the kitchen – helmed by the talented Executive Chef Ryan Taylor, son of acclaimed Denver chef, Kevin Taylor – include short rib pastrami, classic steak tartare and glazed bone-in pork chop. Craft cocktails, local beers and an extensive wine list round out the culinary offerings. The inviting 5,500 sq. ft. space features rustic décor, one private dining room seating approximately 66 guests and a 24-seat outdoor patio.                                 Great service, was not busy but our section was full so the server did great. Food was good, a lot of food for the money compared to other places.

                                Wonderful dinner celebrating my wife's birthday. The waiter and manager stopped by frequently to make sure we were enjoying every minute, took their time to find out any special needs we had (my wife is gluten free) and made the evening extra special.

                                Use the restaurant for business and generally would give it 4-5 Stars. However both the Filet and New York were not a “nice” cut of meat. 4 of 6 folks enjoyed the meal without any negative observations.

                                Our server was great, the food very good, the bar was overwhelmed and drinks didn’t get out, but management comped them. So overall, one minor gig, but overall it was really good! The pork chop was perfect!! They put the most awesome crust on it!

                                We were ten minutes early for our reservation and when we checked in at the hostess station we were told our table was not quite ready. That was fine until we noticed that reservations coming in after us were being seated. Twenty minutes later, when the vestibule was empty, the hostess asked us if we had a reservation. ??? We reminded her we did and had checked in 25 minutes go. She said she had texted us…we were standing right next to her the entire time…she couldn’t just tell us our table was ready? Plus, no text was received. Our reservation request was for a quiet table, so we were seated in the back room, which we liked until a large table of four couples and four babies arrived. Decided to skip dessert. Husband’ pork chop was delicious as always, my chicken cacciatore was dry. We’ve eaten at Hickory and Ash many times in the past and it’s always been a five star experience. Last evening was disappointing.

                                Enjoyed a great meal with friends. The lamb shank was outstanding! Heather, our server, was fantastic! She went over and beyond our expectations. She made our experience a memorable one. We can't wait to go back.

                                We were sat in the rear of the restaurant. The air temperature was too cold (we didn’t take our coats off). The food was average at best. Underwhelmed. Had been there a few times before and loved it. But this was probably my last time at this restaurant.
