   I've been coming here for many years. They've receny started to change policies without transparency. For example, they recently started charging a corking fee (used to be first bottle for free), and also charging extra for fries on the side. When blindsided by these policies, I asked for the manager and was disappointed with the their inability to make an exception even this one time when we were blindsided by the new policy. Hillstone used to provide great service, but that does not seem to be something they value anymore. Very disappointing.

   It had been about a year since I visited this Hillstone and would always visit for good food at a reasonable price. That said I will not be going back! We waited 20 minutes for table which is fine but we were in sticker shock when we got the menu. There prices have sky rocketed! Entree's were between $35 and $45! I'm happy to pay those prices for a serious dining experience but for a mediocre chain restaurant? Absolutely not!

   DMy wife and I have visited Hillstone Midtown many times and now I would like to share my feelings about our experiences. We have had the opportunity mostly to visit the establishment during the afternoon-lunchtime due to business in the area. It can be very busy where you may have a considerable wait for a table. The staff is very kind and experienced and wish to assist you in keeping you informed. The atmosphere can be very busy and crowded with noise most likely conversing business. The Hillstone waitstaff is very professional and helpful in everyway each time we visited. You can make special requests to you preferences and they will assist you ex. if someone in the party may have a allergy to food. They will fashion the plate to your liking. Food is plentiful in their servings. It is a La Carte menu. We today enjoyed a simple salad of a nice considerate size. We followed with on menu item called Dutch Roasted Chicken. My wife followed with the Daily Fish which was George Banks Cod with a light Butter Sauce. Vegetable of the day accompanied the dish. There is a selection of Sides to choose from. One thing I can say about the restaurant, they know how to handle food and respect how to prepare it. We have not once been disappointed with our selection. Yes, please leave room for dessert after the meal. One thing I did not miss to mention was about bar service. They do have a selection of beers and wines for your selection. Since I am not attracted to it, they do have a Sushi Bar for you. Please give Hillstone Midtown a try...We'll be back.....
