   This was one of my favourite restaurants in Whitley Bay but something has changed. Maybe it was because there were two very large parties in and it was extremely noisy, the food was OK but nothing special, menu was interesting as usual and the service was good. I’m not writing it off just yet but not rushing back either.

   We have eaten at Hinnies on numerous occasions over the years and this is the first time that we have had a slightly disappointing experience. There were three of us in the party and we all ordered traditional Sunday roasts, which did not arrive at our table hot. While the food was flavoursome the temperature of said food was, at best, tepid. My wife did mention this fact to a member of staff but it seemed to go unheard. Nothing was said, or done, to improve our experience. On the basis we did not leave our normal 10% gratuity. We anticipate a better experience next time or we will dine elsewhere in the future.

   Good Geordie Comfort food. Well cooked and served. Pleased they had no problem helping me with GFree choices. Good selection of drinks.

   An outstanding experience from start to finish. Service was absolutely impeccable, the food was delicious. Still thinking about the steamed ginger pudding. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you for a really lovely afternoon.

    Lovely restaurant and menu is updated regularly. Food is absolutely wonderful and so is the wine pairing for starters and mains
