   As always, the burger is outstanding! Also enjoyed the very fresh side salad and the kiln greens (surprisingly delicious!). The staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. Love that Chef Hopkins sources as much as possible locally and changes the menu to reflect what's available. Go!

   We were disappointed to see that the menu and serving sizes had been transitioned to more of a tasting menu. We loved having the fish & chips (and occasional fried chicken) for dinner. Now we have to order two portions to have the same as a regular dinner serving. The food quality is still great! PS I don’t really like having the server ask our names. ‘Seems inappropriate to be that personal.

   Excellent cocktails, food was delicious. Ordered the chopped salad, and fried chicken. 24 carrot drink was the absolute best mezcal cocktail I’ve ever had.

   The server, Mark, was borderline offensive and condescending. When the pieces of potato wedges outnumber the pieces of catfish, the place is taking advantage of the customer. The skillet cornbread was burned and reeked of oil, and then it was covered in a giant blob of butter which added to the general oil laden taste. No comps were asked for or given, and $175 later we went home.

   We were rushed by the server, she started collecting our plates even though we were not finished yet. It was so weird. Felt very uncomfortable and not wanted.

   Recommend you check their menu before booking - they've changed it up since we were there several months ago. We don't anticipate returning unless it's changed again. Some highlights - 1. "Plates" possess limited appetizing offerings, no fresh fish, and catfish for Fish & Chips (?!) 2. Though we didn't try it, I was curious about the "pimento cheese" plate - an entire entree consisting of pimento cheese, pickles, and buttered saltines? 3. Perhaps the "Parts" menu is intended for a more refined palate than mine but the five items take up too much menu real estate for such unique items -"pan roasted veal brains .. head cheese terrine, sweetbreads .." 4. Only 6 beers on your menu?! No lagers, pilsners, or pale ales? Aren't you're a gastropub?! We ended up having cheeseburgers which, as we later departed the restaurant, looked like virtually everyone chose. It was very good .. with good fries and the side salad was also good. Service was great, as expected - our wait person was on top of her game

   The service was very unprofessional and our food was late in arriving. Finally we decided to forget about one of the orders. And not any good choices for vegetarian people at all. Overall the service and management was lacking, very disappointing!

   Great place to get outside your culinary comfort zone (or, stay in it with the famous burger). Great beverage program.
