We went online and looked up Fraserdowns.com The homestretch buffet pricing on that website was $20.50. Upon arrival there was an advertisement on the table stating the buffet was $44.99. We questioned our server and she shrugged her shoulders and said that the price we saw was an old website. We got the manager who apologized but said this was now Elements casino. We were there for Fraser Downs harness racing, and the homestretch buffet. He said there was nothing he could do. We argued a bit and he offered to serve us off the cafe menu. Disappointed ordered. The nachos were cold. They must have sat on the pass for along time. The nachos came with tiny salsa, sour cream, and paid $3 for guacamole. My $15 clubhouse arrived but it didn’t even come with fries which seemed weird when a burger did. The clubhouse was not very good. I left half of it. All in all our party of 6 enjoyed the horse racing but would rate service was poor, food was worse. I can’t believe they would not honour the website price. At the very least they should find a way to take down the old website. I didn’t know it was elements casino. They still have Fraser Downs on the border of the video screens . Hope this helps the races were fun but everything else was really poor. My advice would be eat before you go.

Food was fair, service was poor. We ordered drinks first which came after some of the food started to come, we ordered starters which came after some of the mains. The mains all came sporadically so some of our party was dine eating before some got their food. We went for the horse races and Definately not for the service. Most have never been before and they won’t go back.

I thought that I was booking a table down by the windows, but I didn't understand that from the booking.... Buffet was very expensive.. but food was good and plentiful...

So never being there prior, had no idea on what to expect. We new there was a Christmas season buffet running on Friday's so booked in as a group from work. The venue is what is it s, I guess. To me I can liken it to maybe going to a bingo hall - although I think the bingo hall might have been more festivity and feel more spacious and bright. The space it's self felt drab and dark, and that updates have not been done since it's beginning. I actually felt like we have gone back to the 80's an that people would most likely be taking to lighting up a cigarette just on the flash bac in time. Now the food was good for taste, and did have a decent variety. As for service, it was limited and so there was long waits between. Our server, did acknowledge that there was not enough wait staff on and he was having to run all over. Would I go again, I am going to say no. And pooling the others from work they say the same.

I booked a table for 4 people, when we got there they said all the lower ground floor tables were booked, so they shoved us up the stairs on a long table where you have to sit in a row hard to chat when sitting in a line rather than opposite, the worst thing was most of the tables on the lower level stay empty for the duration of the night. I did not eat there as the last time I did it was awful food. But saying that they did have the buffet on again which used to be good.

Great service, place needs a little updating. My chair was broken, tv horse race coverage feed was of poor quality,(blurred). Had to get our own food as buffet didn’t look that great. I did notice the people using buffet were wasting a lot of food as we were across from cleaning station.
