   If able I would put 2.5 on for food. It's not bad at all. Buts it's ok.... We've been there twice, service has always been good. Food came out in a fair amount of time. Not too fast not too slow and all meals came out at same time. I do not feel the menu had a broad choice. I would not NOT recommend it but I just have not experienced what all the hype has been about.

   Seafood was fresh, well seasoned and had deep flavor. We are excited to come back and try the other dishes.

   The food was very good. I had the house fav, Lobster Roll with fries. My daughter had the seafood Risotto which she said was delicious and it looked great. The wine selection was very good, we had a bottle of Spanish Cava. The Lobster Deviled eggs are a must (4 per order) and the oysters Rockefeller and Tuna Poke did not disappoint. The service was great and highly recommend. We will be back.

   Great food in an old school seafood house. Good ambiance with a well stocked bar. Abby was very attentive and did a great job. Parking at this place can be scarce, and it's in a bit of a seedy part of Costa Mesa. Would definitely go back.

   Fun casual atmosphere with excellent service ! Been on the hunt for a great clam chowder and Hook and Anchor did not disappoint! We will be back

   Lobster roll was AMAZING!! Definitely worth going! Took my boyfriend for his birthday and we were both pleasantly satisfied.

   A late lunch birthday - nice wine, loaded seafood salads, hot coffee and a sweet dessert - a great place to catch up with an old friend.

   Amazing service and even better food. The clam chowder and lobster Mac & cheese were amazing. The shrimp Alfredo was perfect and the lobster roll was the best I’ve ever had, perfectly toasted roll and buttery lobster. They made my mother’s birthday extra special and if I could I would give 6 star.

    My family loves this place. Super friendly and attentive staff, great food, quality cocktails, and amazing oyster selection. My parents started going sometime last year, and my wife and I have been back with them at least 4 times since. Never disappoints.
