This place is amazing. My fiancé and I were here once before but only for brunch. The brunch was delicious but when we experienced their dinner… OMG. It was amazing! Our server, Victoria, was super nice and friendly. Highly recommend! I had the seafood trio and he had the ribeye meal. Both were perfect. Their complimentary garlic bread is soooo good. I’m inspired to try and make it myself!

I come here often and this was by far the worse experience ever dining here. We had reservations at 6:45 pm. Our server didn’t come to us until about 15 mins after we were seated. Also, our tables were never cleared away of the appetizer plates, the entrees, all of the plates left at our table, never asked if we would like a water refill, and the server never checked in on us. We ordered dessert at 8:20 and by 8:55, still no dessert and the server never came. We went to the hostess to pay and have our desserts to go and while we were talking to the hostess, the group of 4 at the table next to us who had the same absent server went to the hostess as well to ask how they can pay since the server disappeared. They said they waited for the server for about 30 mins and she never came back and we waited 35 minutes after ordering dessert and she never came back either. This was one of the worst dining experience at Horatio’s

Busy Christmas night but the staff seemed to be on top of it. Special menu was very good - nice choices. The 4 of us each ordered something different and all were pleased with our meals. Service was good and I was happy to provide a generous Christmas gratuity.

We dined on Christmas Day for dinner. The lobster bisque, almond crusted scallops, and crème brûlée were delicious. We asked to take the key lime pie and cheese cake desserts to go and when we got home, there was no Key Lime Pie which was very disappointing. Other than that, we had a very nice evening.

My wife and I have been regulars at Horatios for over 30-years. We decided to have Christmas dinner there this year for fun. The food was below average compared to the normal quality. I had the filet mignon and shrimp. The steak was ordered medium, it was over-well to the point of dry. It wasn’t filet mignon..it was a piece of New York steak. The shrimp were also overcooked/dry. My wife ordered the trio of shrimp, scallops, salmon...all came dry. We asked for our desert to go, they put it in a bag for us and we later discovered, it was wrong. The two of us cost $190.00 (with no alcohol)....Just out two meals, one appetizer and one diet coke. And the picture on the web page of the view out the window.. total lie. That marina shut down years ago. Not a boat in sight. All you see are dilapidated docks destroyed by a dirty bay.

2nd time to Horatio's this year, Thanksgiving and now Christmas Day. The Holiday menu was extensive and all items tried each meal were very good to outstanding. On Christmas Day, our dinner server was Chad and he was exemplary in his attention to our meal. The restaurant was full and he had a large number of tables to serve from what we could could see. However, from bread and drinks to desert, he hardly missed a beat. Our previous Thanksgiving dinner was also excellent and the sever was very good as well. On this occasion, my wife had Seafood Pasta and I had Sea Bass stuffed with crab, also excellent. Try the key lime pie for desert if they have it, outstanding. We plan to go back soon for lunch or dinner. Plenty of parking with easy access from the freeway 5 minutes away. GN Alameda, CA

I have been dining regularly at Horatio's since 1980 and have never been disappointed. For our Christmas dinner, my friend ordered Lobster Bisque, Surf and Turf, and Chocolate Torte, and I had Maple Pear Blue Cheese Salad, Peppercorn Baked Salmon and Creme Brulee, and everything was delicious. Service was attentive and friendly, and we had a lovely time. Horatio's is still my favorite restaurant after all these years.

My Mother and I had a lovely lunch yesterday at Horatio's. The food, service and environment was great! I'm sad to learn that a developer plans to build housing in place of the marina but I do hope Horatio's stays! It's a Bay Area treasure!

Still great I have been there for years as a retired Air Traffic Controller we love coming there for years especially after work at Oakland Airport. I am retired for many years but it is still a favorite place to unwind and watch the waterway with vessels and it always appreciates my friends
