Hugo's Frog Bar & Fish House opened its doors in February 1997 in the heart of Chicago's Gold Coast neighborhood, next to sister restaurant Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse. Over Enjoy the city's finest seafood restaurant, Hugo's continues to be the destination for premier east and west coast oysters, crudos, frog legs, lobster and seasonal fish and shellfish, in addition to Gibsons Prime Angus and Gibsons Grassfed Australian steaks. An extensive wine list, classic cocktail list and selection of impressive signature desserts accompany the menu of fresh seafood, steaks and chops. Beautiful private dining and events spaces available. Gluten-free and vegan options available. Happy Hour Sun-Thurs, 3-6pm.

Groups will have exclusive access to the entire semi-enclosed Frog Pond which includes several high top tables, chairs and banquette seating. Order a la carte from the regular menu or indulge in Hugo’s Happy Hour specials, including half-priced bottles of wine, oysters, and firecracker shrimp, and enjoy a complimentary glass of prosecco for everyone in your group!     The legendary Hugo frog bar. Finally had an opportunity to get here. The wait staff was excellent. My Wife❤️ enjoyed her dinner. Great salmon choice. however, my perch wasn’t as tasty. We both thought it was similar to fish sticks in taste. Nonetheless it wasn’t a deal killer. I should have chosen the fish and chips. We heard It was a top menu item. Overall, we summed up the night with a humongous carrot cake slice. Thumbs up

    Valentine’s Day 8 PM. We were brought directly to our table and were sat in the back area. Obviously, with it being Valentine’s Day, they are typically busier than usual, no problem. Took 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, Rene. Rene did not introduce himself. I had to ask him what his name was. The first thing that came out of his mouth was what can I get you to drink? As if we were at a dive bar. We order appetizers and specifically asked for bread I had to ask for bread on 4 separate occasions, and by the end of the night there was no bread delivered to our table. However, after the fourth time, asking Rene for bread the table next to us got bread within 10minutes of sitting down. Rene was also in dire need of a breath mint.

    The food was great except for the fries. Service was good but a little slow. Which was appreciated for dinner but didn’t arrive for a long time after seating.

    Our Server Frank was an absolute professional! Made the dinning experience the best possible love this place ! Food is delicious and never fails! Highly recommend this Chicago staple. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    My wife loves their shrimp dishes and on occasions I take advantage of being able to order a steak from their Gibsons menu. The service is always outstanding.
