Bringing Southern comfort food to the heart of South Boston, Hunter's Kitchen + Bar is brought to you by the same team as neighborhood staples Lincoln & Capo. Executive Chef Lambert Givens serves up southern-inspired classics like his signature gumbo, chicken & waffles, and smoked meats. Behind the bar, Hunter's has a wide range of beers, whiskeys, and craft cocktails.

**Please note: Patio tables are on a first come first serve basis and by request only. Please note your reservation if you would prefer to sit outside and we will do our best to accommodate**

Hunter's has live music Sunday - Thursday beginning at 9 PM, and Friday at 5pm, Saturday at 3pm, and Sunday at 2pm.

This is the second time I’ve been for brunch and the food hasn’t disappointed. I usually get the shrimp and grits. It’s seasoned very well. The “large” everything biscuit was moist and very delicious as well! The last time I went they had a live band playing and they were AMAZING.. they didn’t have the band, used a speaker this go round, but the mood was nice and not too loud .. Seeking comfort food… definitely the spot !

Always a cozy experience feels like you are at a ski lodge or cabin. Southern style food that is delicious and great service. Music is always good and usually have live performers!

As we arrived to the establishment I am tried to address the hostess with a hello, good evening. She proceeds to tell me hold on as she continues to text on her phone to finish a text she was writing which I thought was very unprofessional. Then she gets my information to check in for my table she disappeared for at least 10 minutes. The place was already crowded which is expected for a Friday night. She comes back to bring us to a table that is near the window and only has high stooling when I reserved a regular seating table. I then express how that seating is uncomfortable and not suitable for us to stay so me and my guest leave. Overall didn’t get to order anything because the server took a million years and the costumer service from the start was just terrible. Go at your own risk just make sure it’s not a Friday night for a more comfortable setting and probably better service.

The food was okay. I think we would have had a better experience if our waitress was better. Every time we were looking for her she would be tending to a table that looked like friends. It felt like a competition for attention. Don’t remember her name but Connor was great!

Live music was amazing! They played everything you wanted to hear! Great food! The place is always decorated nicely.

Very loud and couldn’t hear at the table. Food was ok. Waitress was rude and didn’t give us water, take our menus etc. Really poor service

i made a reservation for 4:30pm and they didn’t seat us until 4:10pm and then they forced us out of our seats at 5:10pm

This restaurants is SO LOUD. I couldn’t even hear the person sitting directly next to me. Our group had to sit and eat in silence. This was at 8:30pm and they were BUMPING house music. When we asked if they could turn it down just a tiny amount, the server said that was their most asked question, but they won’t be able to turn it down… If multiple people have complained, and it’s your most asked question, maybe it’s an issue that you should address for your customers? Mind you, I’m in my 20s. I like going to bars in southie and I don’t mind loud music. But this was next level loud. Like maybe turn it up at 10pm? 8:30pm seemed a little insane. Aside from that, the food was decent! It seemed like a fun bar and I would have stayed after dinner if I didn’t have a headache from the music.
