Perfect balance of people and privacy. The service was outstanding; pleasant and friendly...well, except for the Marie Laveau character bringing out the food. That was a little spooky. I think she actually floated without her feet touching the ground. Without a word, she would deliver the food, make eye contact for approval and float away. Memorable. Food was "out the charts" delicious! Location in the 21C Museum Hotel was perfect!

Idol Wolf is located in the amazing 21c Hotel and they have a fantastic free art museum open 24 hours. We arrived just before 5 for our reservation, before they actually opened and the host greeted us immediately and let us know they would be ready in about 5 minutes. We took the time to check out the museum and seated as soon as we returned. We both enjoyed the Idol Wolf Old Fashioned to start and had 4 orders of Tapas to share for our meal. All were amazing in flavor profile and presentation. I had been before, so I knew I would get the "Chorizo" Roasted Hen of the Woods: chorizo-spiced butter, arepa con queso, smoked aioli, and it was amazing. The portions were great and the food was delivered quickly. I will be back again.

Food was very unforgettable. Something was just off about all the plates. Cocktails were nice and hostess was great! Service was very slow. Do not recommend.

We had a reservation on 2/16 and had a disappointing experience as first time patrons. I was the first to order from our group, and our waiter was knowledgeable great to recommend his personal favorite of the two dishes I showed interest in, and I landed on the Mushroom Huevos Rojo. The food I received was delicious! My personal experience was just fine. However, each guest in our group to follow, was met with their preferred items being out of stock. The team attributed this to Valentine’s the day prior, and was apologetic. Finally after we all had ordered, food and drinks, we waited some time for it all to arrive. Our food came before our drinks, which was disappointing. We had ordered Bloody Mary’s, as an appetizer and to go along side the meal. The timing did not allot us enough time to drink them in entirety, and they aren’t exactly a dessert drink! Two from our party ordered sandwiches, specifically for the greens that came on them, and received not a single leaf. When we asked to get some, it took ages to be told they were, you guessed it, out. Extremely disappointing, considering arugula would have provided both taste and texture necessary for the dish. I’m not sure the waiter even knew what arugula was, because the best he could offer was mint, or parsley. Not even romaine, or whatever the base of their salad dish is. Finally, when she had about two bites total, they presented her with the smallest helping of arugula I have ever seen! Those last couple bites were enjoyable, and it made all the difference! I will say, each employee was extremely kind, though offered no compensation or solution. They seemed to lack critical training, but had the demeanor to be great workers in the service industry. We would like to come back to give it another chance, but were mostly dissatisfied with this first visit.

We really look forward to experiencing the paella on the menu at Idol Wolf. When they first brought the food, we could smell a burnt smell and the rice was undercooked. Upon further inspection, the food in fact was burnt! We sent it back and they brought out another dish of paella, and it was not much better.

Our brunch on Saturday was delicious and we look forward to returning. The menu was varied, the tortilla and heuvos rotos were so good, arriving at the table quickly, and piping hot. Enjoyed the side of country toast, hot tea. Lovely hotel, attentive staff.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day date at Idol Wolf. The ambiance was wonderful. Modern and elegant, fun without being too noisy, and the service was so attentive. The food was amazing too. Serrano ham and Chicken of the Woods tapas, and a tasty and beautiful paella as our main course. Big props for having a good NA beverage selection as well!

Every course was better than the next. It was great to see season staff at the bar in Mason and Camron at the bar & Mic in the restaurant. Paula was a new server to us and brought a lot of energy. We had fun with her!

I have to say last night’s experience at dinner was charming. It’s nice to see that. There is a Spanish restaurant that mimics Spain itself. We started with the ham and chipotle chips. That was incredible as well. I had Caesar salad. That was delicious. I had the Wolf burger, which was very good. Of the two other people with me, one had the octopus and potatoes, which was outstanding. The other person had half chicken, which was delicious. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in their experience of the cuisine offered there. That’s just my humble opinion of how it is for me. Thanks.
