Il Capriccio serves a constantly changing Northern Italian menu featuring local products with an award winning Italian wine and Grappa list. Though long considered a local secret, Il Capriccio has been the number one Northern Italian restaurant in Zagat's for the past seven years. The wine list has been featured in Decanter, Sante, Wine & Spirits and Stuff. The same menu is served in the Bar. We like to serve great food and great wine in a comfortable setting. For peace of mind in Covid time, our three brand new, state-of-the art, Mitsubishi air handlers employ MERV Level 13 filtration, just one step down from an operating theatre. We also have a patio for al fresco dining, reservable by phone only, weather dependent.

    Il Capriccio offers a number of options for private parties. Our Lombardy and Romagna private dining rooms seat 10-14 guests each. Sicily semi-private dining room seats 34 and Tuscany seats 30; combined they seat 64. We normally reserve private parties in Sicily and Tuscany on weekday evenings only.

                                                        Food is excellent as are the choices. I wish there were linens on the tables and some tables with chairs with arms.

                                                        We have eaten here often and always have an excellent meal and very good service. Tonight we were a party of 6 on a Saturday night, but service/food coming out, particularly between apps and mains, was VERY slow. Dinner took 3.5 hours and we saw other tables come and go during the time that we were there. Without any explanation from staff or question about refreshing drinks during this wait. Unusual for Il Capriccio. Let's hope it was an off/busy night.

                                                        Terrific meal at il Capriccio in Waltham. Linguine with scallops and veal tenderloin were superb! Very good attentive service and price is right. Will definitely go back.
